I plan on having an internship because it is required for my major. I don't think it will be terribly difficult to find an internship.

I enjoy the history program at Tabor. I would definitely do it again. I plan on pursuing my Masters and Doctorate so that I can teach as a college professor. Finding a college that needs a history professor may be difficult.

I am double majoring in History and Communications. The history department gives a hard workload without it being too much. The curriculum teaches a broad survey of history, both world and American. There are also great resources, such as, the library and the archives.

The professors at Tabor are good at ensuring that students understand the information. They also have many opportunities to study abroad and take trips for credit.

In the town of Hillsboro the small population of Tabor College has no choice but to get close to each other. The students do a great job of organizing clubs and putting on events to get everyone involved. There's always a large student section at every athletic event which includes themes and chants. Bible studies are organized for different groups of people. There are even bands invited to sing on campus. The main hangout at Tabor is Java Jays which serves coffee at night and has a laid back set up for some last minute studying.

I knew that I wanted to get into Physical Therapy school. Before I could do that, there were several classes I needed to pass. With this list of classes there were three majors that I could choose from; biology, athletic training, and psychology. My academic advisor helped me make the decision to major in biology. Her help made this process very easy.

Guys & Girls:
The guys and girls here are great. I love my teammates and have really enjoyed going to a small college versus a large one where you may not be able to get involved or have the ability to know a large group of deverse people.

If the network gets overloaded the internet is extremely slow

Health & Safety:
We feel very safe!!! There was an incident off campus at a town near us which resulted in the death of a Tabor football player. But for the most part we feel safe walking around our campus.

Tabor is a religious school, there isn't a large problem. There are some people that do drink on occasion as there are at most schools. I do not participate in either and feel no pressure to do so either.

I took an internship in the environmental field. The pay was decent, although not excessive; housing was provided. I worked about 7 hours a day teaching reenacting and teaching regional and natural history.

I have observed an increase in ethnic minorities here even within the past three years.

The computer labs here are well run and are kept in reasonably good running order. However, the MyTabor account network has a few annoying glitches and is difficult to navigate.

The options close to campus are very poor. We are limited to what we really want.

I go to a Christian college so most people follow the rules we have here. Students don't take part in drugs... And if they do, it isn't on campus.

Teachers need to do a better job explaining the material.

Since Tabor College is very religious, if you are not a very religious person you get frowned upon by students who are. But Tabor College is very much all about athletics, because almost all students here are athletes and they are from all parts of the country.

Since Hillsboro is so small, there is no public transportation to any other town.

I am a part of Tabor College athletics, and I think that they are very considerate of student-athletes. There are also great facilities, and the coaches are very considerate and caring.

There really is not that much to do at night. Usually you just go and hang out with friends on campus. The closed dorm hours really limit who you hang out with at night, and it forces students to go off campus and stay up late.

I think the major programs are good, but it'd be nice to have foreign language majors.

I came to Tabor because I heard they have a great Education program and it's proved to be true. The professors are amazing and they are really knowledgeable about what they teach.

There's really nothing to do in Hillsboro, so we typically go to Newton or Wichita to go do things like go to Applebee's or go bowling.
College Senior 2013-03-18T20:46:20Z
The campus isn't big so anywhere you park, you'll be close to where you need to go.
College Senior 2013-03-18T20:43:50Z
The dorms are old and outdated. But it's nice to live on a small campus. The upper classmen however have greater opportunities for housing.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
