Tuition & Financial Aid:
Only one class has immature students attending, but the other classes are great and everybody is respectful of each other.

Some homework is time consuming, but fairly easy to maintain.

The library is kept up because people of all ages, even children, use the library.

This school is fairly small so that was most appealing to me over a large school.

The computer lab I'm in and the printing on campus are of good quality. I don't use the wireless network so I don't know what it is like. Use of personal computers are optional, personal printers are not.

It's hard to get to know anyone since they are all so busy working and trying to focus on classes.
College Senior 2013-08-30T02:44:41Z
They offer many online and night classes, making it easy for people who work still earn a degree.

I feel really safe at Taft College, and the classes are great.

I chose Taft because of how affordable it, how nice everyone is there, and how smoothly the application process was to deal with it. This school also has small class sizes and great educators. I was able to get all the financial aid that I needed, which was an enormous help to me. All in all, Taft is great.

There are good teachers and classes but from what I've experienced classes aren't a challenge. Registration for athletes is done through a counselor and is a set schedule without regard to what the student wants to take and when they want to take it.
College Senior 2012-10-31T03:20:15Z
If you are an athlete, everyone is super friendly and gets along quite well, the non athlete students are also very friendly. Being such a small school people get to know each other easily.
College Senior 2012-10-31T03:16:31Z
classes are easier than necessary even for freshman, i dont feel challenged what so ever, i even get bored with the "homework" assigned.

Taft college has an excellent Dental Program but I believe that they skimp on many of the other programs to help further ones' major.

Students are provided with there own hang-out room which includes a ping-pong table, two billiards tables, Foosball, television with gaming devices, and many comfortable chairs. The library is rather large, students can reserve study rooms that are cut off from the main station of the library so that we may work in peace and quiet, and the staff is always nice and helpful. There is also a gym on campus that the athletic students can use.
College Sophomore 2012-10-21T20:15:38Z
Free Wi-Fi for attending students, many computer available in the campus library as are printers that the students can use, and the network is speedy and very reliable.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Financial aid is a difficult process at Taft College, but the education I have received has been worthwhile.

I Have attended Taft Community College online while I was still in High School and the online courses are very clearly displayed and the professors are easy to get a hold of. Now that I am a full-time student on campus I have enjoyed the many facilities and events that this college has to offer.
Taft College has a very clean and well kept campus, the bathrooms are cleaned regularly, the staff and professors are incredibly nice and helpful, there are facilities specifically designed for students to use as hang-out spots, free Wi-Fi for students, there is a greenhouse on campus, and the campus isn't that large and there are maps posted around the campus so it's not incredibly easy to get lost. Taft College also sponsors many events and has many clubs on campus. Just recently we made a Human Ribbon where all of the participating students wore pink and stood in the shape of a ribbon to help support Breast Cancer Awareness. There was also a Runway Fundraiser where many of our male athletes dressed up as women to help raise money for Beast Cancer.
Taft College has a variety of clubs to participate in that can turn into scholarships for the participating students. I am currently involved in the Literary Club which publishes a small book full of poetry and short stories called A Sharp Piece Of Awesome and I am also involved in a club called Best Buddies. Best Buddies is an international organization that helps students with Developmental Disabilities and Traditional students pair up and become Best Friends.

Most Professors Are Very Involved – Most of the professors at Taft are very helpful and actually care about their students. There are others who simply don't care about helping their students enough to get the material.

Career Center Average – It is very hard to get a chance to speak with most of the advisers there because of the amount of students that go there; I believe they are under staffed. When someone does get a chance to speak to an adviser they are very helpful.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Recent Changes – Recently my financial aid was cut down do to California's budget. Before then I believe that the amount of financial aid I was receiving was fair.

Most Students Do Well – Mostly, all the students who attend Taft College do well. It is a smaller college, and that gives the teachers a better chance to work individually with students rather than just as a group of students. Their ethnicity groups are equal, everyone that goes there seams to get along.

Stuff to Do. The campus has a lot of athletes so there is a gym, small weight room, softball and baseball fields. The library is new and beautiful with a lot of helpful resources. The ASB program has numerous activities going on all the time which makes living on campus more fun.

Very Diverse. The student body is at Taft College is very diverse. The majority of the students that live on campus are athletes from all over the country. There are students who are very religious and some who are not. There is a lot of diversity and the students know almost everybody because of the small size of the campus.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
