Facts

Interviews & Information Sessions

Taylor's admissions interviews are totally laid-back. Students should wear whatever they're comfortable in and be ready to talk about themselves and their passions, because that's what Taylor really wants to know about. Interviews should be scheduled after the student has submitted an application and been notified by his or her admissions counselor. Because Taylor prefers personal interviews, admissions counselors are often willing to travel to the student's own hometown to conduct the interview.

Campus Tours

Admissions workers are always available to give campus tours, even when the rest of the campus is closed for break. Visitors can schedule personalized tours if they're visiting briefly or can join a group tour during "24 at Taylor."

Overnight Visits

One of Taylor's visitation opportunities is called "24 at Taylor." Prospective students attend Q&A sessions with faculty, attend classes, and stay overnight in a dormitory with a host student. "24 at Taylor" also includes tours and interviews, a chance to attend chapel, and information sessions about financial aid, athletics, music, and more. A typical schedule, plus information about various other visitation opportunities, can be found on Taylor's website.

Did You Know?
  • CREW members, the students who are in charge of welcoming prospective students, will lead your campus tour—and walk backwards the entire time!
  • Be sure to stop at Ivanhoe's—the best (and only) ice cream shop for miles—before leaving Upland.
  • The best days to visit Taylor are at the end of the week or on the weekend because overnight visitors can experience chapel, open house, and various fun activities that demonstrate Taylor's vibrant student life.
