College Prowler Take
There is not really a huge drug life at Temple University; many students are too worried about getting in trouble that they just don’t risk it. Temple doesn’t play when people break the rules and bring drugs on campus. Student who have been stupid enough to do so in the past no longer attend this University. There are signs posted in residence halls, along with e-mails that are sent out to students in the beginning of each semester, that stress that Temple doesn’t allow drugs on campus and especially in the residence halls, so there is no excuse for not being aware of the rules. Temple gives each student fair warnings about acceptable behavior, and if you cross that line, you have to be prepared to deal with the repercussions of those actions. Alcohol is a really big hit on campus. Most of the parties that are put on by campus students have alcohol, and there are a lot of places both in North Philadelphia in Center City to buy alcohol. Even if you are 21, you are still not allowed to have alcohol on campus, so that is something to keep in mind. But like any system, there are ways to get around it.

There definitely are drugs here
A+
It's really weird to me that everyone is (for the most part) saying that there are no drugs. That's not true at all. Tons and tons of people smoke, and it's pretty easy to get away with on campus. Usually if campus police catch you they'll just tell you they hope it's tobacco and then they tell you to dump your bowl out and get the heck outta there. You can get pretty good weed or you can get bad weed. It's also pretty easy to get acid and opium. Coke is also around. And, of course, everyone drinks. Thursday through Saturday are the big partying nights but people do drink at other points during the week. The people doing drugs aren't crazy druggies, they're smart people who have open minds and don't overdo anything. There are a lot of stoners at Temple though, but they're all smart people who are fabulous to have a conversation with.

I don’t know much about drugs—I’m no druggie. I’ve known a couple people who sold drugs, though, so they’re there like anywhere else. |

The drug scene on campus is quiet. Plenty of people smoke weed but that’s anywhere. The story is that there are people do hard drugs, and few people know about it. |

My next door neighbors did it, and I was the RA. I caught them like twice, and nothing happened to them. |

I guess drugs are used just about as much as anywhere else. I don’t do them. But if you walk by that wall near Peabody, everyone is down there smoking, and people do it in the dorms all the time. |
