College Prowler Take
Overall, Temple has its ups and it has its downs, but students seem to love it all the same. On the downside, there can be some head-butts with tyrannical teachers, unfriendly cafeteria workers, and the always-frustrating financial aid office. Housing can cause an enormous hassle, and those commuting have to battle with parking or public transportation. Some people don’t feel as though they are prepared for the real world once they leave campus, but others say it’s been an incredible learning experience. Those students that love their experience at Temple all have their own reasons. Some love the atmosphere and found it to be a lot of fun. Others found it to be a great place to grow up and discover themselves. Lots of students take away more from living in a big city than they do from the University. But one thing it seems most all students agree upon is that the people at Temple University are what really make it a worthwhile experience. In general, students coming into Temple have big expectations from both the school and the city. Those that graduate either feel that Temple met their expectations, or if it didn’t, then it was their own fault for not pursuing more opportunities while they were there. Most students feel that Temple provides them with the opportunities that make their college experiences excellent—as long as they are willing to make use of them.

The college experience, more so the Temple experience, was great for me, personally. It taught me a lot about myself. |

I liked it more every year. I thought it was a good school. I didn’t have much to compare it to, but I wouldn’t change anything. It really wasn’t much about education, it was more about experience. Since the school was located in a city, I think I learned more outside the classroom than I did in it. |
