Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Timing is everything when it comes to finding an ideal location on campus. Temple offers parking facilities to the students for a fee every semester. Students find their best bet might be to depend on other means of transportation, unless they can shell out the parking lot fee. There are many students who live on campus that also own cars, so that’s twice the struggle to find a space. Those that are willing to shell out for the parking lot find it to be a wise choice; however, many students find that the spaces are tiny, making it hard to come in and out of. There haven’t been too many reports of cars scratching other cars, but if you do become part of this case, there is nothing that can rectify the situation. To be on the safe side, give a space between you and the parallel car, even if it means parking toward the back of the lot.

Some students who have bought lot spaces find that in order to get their desired lot, they have to make the purchase early. Students often find that if they wait too long, they end up in a lot that is far away from their dorms or classes. There are many students who do not purchase spaces, but instead use meters; however, this means there are many students hunting down only a few meters. The only way to ensure parking is by buying a spot in the lot.

Not Very Good

It's Philadelphia. It's not very good. I think it speaks for itself.

Do NOT Bring a Car

You don't need a car on campus, but if you were to bring one you will most likely have trouble finding parking. Public transportation is really close and really convenient and doesn't cost a lot.

Poor Parking at Temple

Cars are not really needed at Temple because there are many other ways for transportation, like the subway or bus. If a student does want to bring their car though, I think that the price for parking is way to expensive. It is very dangerous to park anywhere other than the parking lots because Temple is in such a bad area. I think that Temple needs to provide more parking for students and visitors. Also many times if students park on the side of roads, they get tickets. This isn't fair because there is not many places to park.
