Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Most of the TSU student body and faculty take academics very seriously. The University prides itself on having a large graduating class every year, and most of the classes are very interesting due to the teachers who teach them. Although many students feel the classes involving their majors are very interesting and entertaining, some of the more tedious classes are sometimes difficult to get through. However, everyone keeps a positive attitude about general-education classes and works hard to get through them. TSU offers a wide variety of professors who either make or break the class. Most teachers are confident in their subjects and work diligently to create a fun, safe learning environment. Professors are required to keep office hours, so students who need to speak with them can come by with no appointments. The professors always have their phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and office hours printed at the top of every syllabus. There is always a drawback, though: there are a couple of teachers in a few departments who need to retire or find another profession because they have allowed personal issues to affect their teaching. In these cases, there are the department heads, which every student should know, whom you may choose to speak with if the professor is unavailable to help. Overall, TSU professors help to make the school exciting and informative, which motivates most of the student body to work hard to graduate with more than a C average.

Pre-Med Biology

Being a biology major is a great opportunity in some cases. It gives you the ability to learn about the cells that is important to our body which requires energy. Being a biology major you have to study alot in order to know what is a true statement or false when it comes to biology. My school gives you the ability to practice lab research with many different biology professors so that you are prepared once you start an intership, job or even a biology lab. There are many jobs in this world that biologists can have an opportunity to work, but many just dont know all of the areas or jobs biology majors can apply.

An Environment Worthwhile

Came to Tennessee State University because of a plethura of reasons. One happens to be because of my best friend and brother attending there. In my high school yrs I visit frequently, to hang out with my brother. Eventually people started noticing me with him and his good became mine. Attended A campus tour once with my dad and stepmom, to get a feel of what it would be like for a student at TSU. The tour lasted about an hour. Maybe a couple minutes more, but I loved every second I was there. Got familiarized with an reasonable amount of profesors on my frequent visits. Wishing they would be mine once I've arrived, but there was no chance. Cause my major was totally different from what they were teaching, but eventually met A professor dealing with my intended profession. They are willing to lend A hand, and give you the extra push to succeed. The energy, people, the total environment there is great. Would recommend A feqw of my friends to look into attending..
