Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The administration at TSU has spent millions of dollars making sure the facilities are nice and hospitable to students. The best facility is definitely the Floyd-Payne Campus Center. It houses all the really important offices such as records, financial aid, the bookstore, post office, as well as a huge lounge area. It is three floors high, and students spend a lot of extra time there. The student publication (the Meter), the SGA, and the career center are all located in this building as well. There are, however, older buildings that need to be remodeled badly. The newer buildings are kept up really well, and the administration is trying to remodel parts of the campus that are not in great condition. The most important thing to remember is which buildings are cold and which buildings are unbearably hot. The buildings around campus all have their own temperatures, and no one can seem to regulate it. For example, if it is really cold outside, the heat is probably on, so it is going to be really hot inside the building. McCord Hall is always very cold because it is the Science Building and full of expensive equipment, so remember to bring a jacket if you mind the chilly temperature. The upper floors may also be incredibly warm, so wear lighter clothing if you have a class on the third floor of any building. Don’t worry, though: once you have visited and attended classes for about a week, you will know exactly how to dress!

TSU Facilities

The facilities at Tenn. State are good. The student center is nice, and the library is big enough and clean. The student center was renovated a few years ago, so it looks very modern. Students enjoy spending time there.

Floyd Payne Center

The facilities at Tennessee State are pretty good. The Floyd Payne Center (Student Center) is the main builiding where you see student, teachers, and admistratives. Inside the Floyd Payne Center there are three floors, the first floor containing mostly the cafeteria, Kean Hall, and the mailboxes. The second floor consist of where most of the students hang out. There are TV rooms and the Sub (which consist of Chick-Fil-A,Pizza Hut, etc.) and the third floor is where the different offices are located.

Some of them are very helpful for the situation but most are rude and ungreatful.
