Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The guys and girls at TSU are really attractive. TSU has a great variety of cliques, and a little bit for each individual to choose from. There are your girls and guys who dress in the latest fashions, and the ones who really don’t care. Students are focused on academics during class and during midterms and finals. Outside of class and on the weekends, though, it is all about socializing and having a good time. Public displays of affection (PDAs) are really not a problem at TSU. The dorms and the Campus Center close at 11 p.m., but the rules are not too strict, especially because so many students go off campus to meet students at other universities. There is a lot of competition for guys because the ratio of girls to guys is almost 2:1! This is actually an inside joke on the campus, because guys love the fact that they are surrounded by girls. The campus is pretty accepting of everyone who is a part of the social scene. Most of the socializing occurs between students who spend a lot of time on campus, not from the ones who just are there to get an education and go home. The health center promotes safe sex, and many times you can walk through the Campus Center and someone will give you a bag of “goodies.” These bags contain condoms, lubrication, and instructions on how to use both properly. TSU is not shy about admitting they know the students have sex, and keeping it safe is important to them.

Husband Material

Tenn state has all types of guys. city boys, country boys, nerdy boys and preppy boys. I like the nerds and the preps.Lots of handsome guys some can be husband material but others dont have the potential. The good guys are scared to approach you they expect you to approach them.

Guys & Girls

Everyone dresses the same, I feel like no one has a mind of there own to dress different out of fear of being judged or ridiculed, everyone feels as if they need to be in a large group everywhere they go to feel secure and not alone they do not have enough sense to stand alone and think for themselves at least some of the time , I feel as if no one is secure with themselves enough to be by themselves.

What kinds of relationships have you had since coming to school?

How would you rate the social scene on campus?

Facts

Social Scene

The party scene is pretty good. The Greek parties are usually decent. No shortage of bars like Baileys McFadden's and Coyote Ugly. The best clubs, in my opinion, would be Bar Flyy, LAX, and Atlantis.

Hookups or Relationships?

There are so many characters here at Tennessee State University. We have outgoing, geeky, attractive, preps, and Greeks, but we all get along with out common bond with Big Blue.

Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls

Class, the courtyard, and different parties are all good places to meet guys and girls.

Dress Code

There is no set dress code for campus. However, some teachers may ask students to remove their hats, and some students may have to dress professionally for certain classes as part of their grades.
