Academic Advisors for Many Departments

Many of the advisors are never in their offices when you need to speak with them on classes to enroll in or simply trying to figure out the next step to get you closer to graduation. It can be difficult to get in touch with them rather it be by phone, email, or in person; either they never answer your messages or they are never in the office to be reached.

Poor

sometimes the computers in the computer labs in the dorms and library are all taken. some are broken and hard to use. you can only use them at certain times. the wireless sucks and barely works sometimes and you cant get on the schools websites from them, so you have to get on a school computer.

Food Would Be Better With More Variety

Campus dining at Tennessee State University is enough to get students full, but rarely are students excited about the options. Tennessee State does offer meal plans where students can eat in the cafeteria or use a declining balance to purchase fast food items on campus. The food is okay, but students complain that they would like more variety other than the chicken, fish, pizza and pasta served regularly in the cafeteria.
