Sometimes its a bitch to walk to class in the rain, but other than that it is normally no problem.

I am not really a nightlife kind of person. I prefer to stay indoors or do things during the daytime.

Guys & Girls:
I am not really a people person but generally everyone seems pretty ok.

Parking is not bad at all. This University is so small that there are always parking spots and rarely ever make you late for class unless you do not give yourself enough time (Maybe 15 min) to get to class on time.

The Biology major program is a tough program but comes with great professors that want ytou to succeed. Only concerns that come to mind would be having outside teachers teaching lab courses that do not help and make it nearly impossible to pass. I plan to continue on to chiropractic school after recieving my Bachelor's degree and believe that TAMUT has been a great asset to my academic career and have better prepared me for my academic future.

The drug scene at TAMUT depends on who you hang out with just as with any other college.
College Sophomore 2013-05-25T21:25:36Z
There is basically no nightlife here! Our school is in a small town, so options are pretty limited.
College Sophomore 2013-05-25T21:23:57Z
Living in the South does not allow much diversity, however, TAMU-T does have more diversity than I've seen anywhere else. We have a wide variety of ethnicities, including several foreign exchange students!
College Sophomore 2013-05-25T21:22:16Z
TAMU-T does not have varsity sports at this time! We only have intramural sports, and only a small portion of the campus gets involved.

The restaurants around the university are mainly fast food. They are very convenient and does not take much of a drive to get to them.
College Sophomore 2013-04-12T19:46:10Z
the restaurants are very convenient and there is a variety to pick from. but they are a little pricey.
College Sophomore 2013-04-12T19:38:45Z
the only drug consumption that is pretty noticeable is smoking. and it is only allowed outside
College Sophomore 2013-04-12T19:36:34Z
I have received a scholarship but it is very hard to get an opportunity and be updated about scholarships and when they are available
College Sophomore 2013-04-12T19:33:19Z
Because the school is smaller, parking is not bad at all. but make sure to get there early for a good spot.

I am satisfied with my program. I am going to be a successful businesswoman so I would do this repeatedly a hundred times if I had to.
College Sophomore 2013-02-26T20:59:19Z
It wasn't that hard to get into the program that I am in but the program itself is hard.
College Sophomore 2013-02-26T20:57:39Z
I do plan to have an internship because it will be a good learning experience for me. I do have concerns about finding an internship because I do not know a lot of people.

Most of the food at TAMUT isn't bad. They try their best to be diverse in the meals and to satisfy the students there. They experimented with Indian food just the other day. For lunch or dinner, if you don't like the "hot line," then you can get the pizza or burgers that are always on the side of the cafeteria. Also, students have the option to get something "off the grill." "Off the grill" has more options of meals or even sides like double cheeseburgers, chicken wraps, BLTs, quesadillas, wings, cheese sticks, onion rings, salads, etc. For breakfast, you get plenty of options like omelettes, you can make your own waffles, they will have bacon, biscuits and gravy, grits, sausage, eggs, and potatoes. They even put out fruit and yogurt for breakfast. The cafeteria also has candy, ice cream, can drinks, energy drinks, and coffee on the sides to purchase. The staff is great as well! You can make friends with them easily. Students can even join a Food Service committee to help re-vamp the menu of what the school serves within reason.

I haven't tried to experience the nightlife in Texarkana, but I have heard that there isn't much around the area. Although, I have heard of some areas that some students will go to here in Texarkana. People have thrown parties in this area as well. But, at the residence hall, RAs and the Residence Hall Association do their best to host activities for the residents at Bringle Lake Village. They do their best at entertaining the residents within reasonable guidelines. Bringle Lake Village can be fun when people will actually go to the programs instead of ignoring them and then complaining about nothing to do. Some programs that RAs have hosted were Mardi Gras Jeopardy, Speed Dating in February, SMORES, and Butter Beer Pong. RHA has even offered to listen to any ideas of how to make BLV better in entertainment. I suggest that students should live in the residence hall to experience a better "nightlife" than the ones that don't live in the residence hall.

I live in the 2 bedroom 1 bathroom dorm room and its $2795. I wish I could afford my own room but if you're like me and you don't like a lot of people then this is your best option.
College Sophomore 2013-01-29T00:25:28Z
I really enjoy most of the food. The staff in the cafeteria are nice people. With the meal plan you can get the entree or pizza or burgers & fries. With your meal plan dollars you can buy things off of the grill or snacks like ice cream and drinks.
College Sophomore 2013-01-29T00:21:17Z
The permit cost is reasonable (better than paying an expensive fine). You don't really need a car on campus unless you want to go out and party or go to the store.
College Junior 2012-12-19T21:38:41Z
The night life in Texarkana is very boring. Only 21 and up oriented. There are hardly ever any parties and when there is one it is extremely lame. Your best bet is driving an hour to Longview or spending a weekend in Dallas
College Sophomore 2012-11-30T01:20:00Z
There's pool parties and barbecues at the dorms sometimes. I hate the noise in the dorms because people are loud while I'm trying to sleep.
College Sophomore 2012-11-30T01:15:36Z
It took them a little while to get me my refund and that was hard because I was here with no money.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
