Even though A&M mainly consists of conservative guys and girls from the Southwest, you can literally find any type of student here—you just might have to search for them a bit more. The University has everything from the typical nerds to the all-night-party kind of guys or girls. Since the Texas A&M student body is huge, everyone is bound to find someone special here.

The hospitality here is Southern-style, so everybody at A&M is polite. Guys are always willing to hold the door open for you, no matter how far away you are, or give up their seat for you on a bus. Overall, whether you’re the shy type or the crazy type, there's someone here for you, whether it is a special someone or a best friend.

Looks, Social and Academic Diversity

Texas A&M has many attractive people, but more importantly, there is a great diversity of characteristics and interests among students who attend this university. There is a wide range of academic interests that students choose, some students even create and customize their own major! Furthermore, there are over 900 student organizations on campus that represent students containing a multitude of personalities and aptitudes that they can offer!

Guys Are Very Friendly

The guys at A&M are very polite and friendly. Some of them are attractive. There is a good guy to girl ratio.

Pretty much everyone dresses in a t-shirt and jeans, which I totally prefer. There is no pressure to dress up nicely, in fact, a lot of my professors dress in jeans! I would say that the student's looks are pretty average. I've visited other schools where I was just blown away by the amount of good looking people. That isn't the case here.

Social Scene

Between the Southern hospitality you'll find on campus and the school pride that bonds all Aggies together, you'll find everyone on campus very welcoming. It might take you a little while to find the exact group that you fit in with best, but you won't have a hard time making friends on campus and finding people to hang out with.

Hookups or Relationships?

There are a lot more hookups among freshmen here, but more relationships form as students progress through their years at A&M. The older you get, the more couples you’ll see walking under the Century Tree together and getting ready for that next step in life.

Dress Code

Since the A&M campus is huge and requires a lot of walking, students like to be comfortable, so T-shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes are the way to go—especially since the weather is usually hot. You'll occasionally find students dressed up, maybe for a class or an internship. But nighttime is a whole different story. You’ll find the fellas in a nice shirt and slacks and the ladies in a nice skirt or dress when going out.
