Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Most Texas A&M students start off living in a dorm and then upgrade to an off-campus apartment or a house. Living off campus has its advantages and disadvantages. On the plus side, you get your own personal space, a kitchen, and a living a room, so it’s practically a home. But, on the other hand, you will have to pay your own utility bills and deal with finding transportation to school.

There are hundreds of apartments near campus, all at reasonable rates. Some students prefer to live in cheaper houses in Bryan, but this means they have to sacrifice the convenience of living close to campus. Many students say the best option is to try to get a house close to campus, so you won’t have to search for parking on campus. Plsu, the bus system is pretty good, and there are routes from most apartments to different spots on campus. Obviously the choice is yours, but remember that any place, big or small, can be called home.

Apartments

There are many, many places to live off campus. I have lived off campus since I was a freshman and I have enjoyed each place. College Station offers many apartments and houses to chose from.

Great Apartment Selection

Because A&M is located in a college town, the apartments cater to the needs of college students. The prices are cheap in comparison to apartments pretty much anywhere else. And most complexes will have a bus system that take residents to campus. However, there is still a huge selection. If preferred, there are condos or even houses to be rented, and you can choose to be as near campus, or as far away as possible.

Plenty to Choose from...

In College Station, there are a ton of apartments to choose from, and almost all of them are on a bus route which will go on campus. However, a tid bit to keep in mind, the electricity in College Station can be expensive, so try to find a complex that includes that into the amenities. It'll save you a lot of worry and frustration. Also, if you want to drive about 20 minutes more, Bryan is not that far from A&M, and I believe the electricity is cheaper.
