All my professors have been very helpful and nice. They are extremely challenging, but they also care a lot for their students and try to help you out as much as they can. |

There are lots of cool professors, but there are some that suck. Sometimes, they are more interested in their research than in teaching. |

I’ve had three bikes stolen. I finally just bought a cheap one from Wal-mart, and I haven’t had it jacked yet. |

I know several girls who’ve been raped on campus walking to their dorms at night. It still is not safe to walk around by yourself. Play it safe, even when you feel safe. |

Sbisa is pretty much run by the Northside residents. They have all these traditions and yells, and each dorm has its own personal table. I sat at one once, and all these boys came and sat around me—it was really intimidating. |

We are pretty much the atmosphere—it’s Aggieland. The town is kind of made up of us. The only other college near by is a community college, Blinn College, in Bryan. |

You can walk up to total strangers and start conversations with them. That’s what sold me on going to A&M. |

I miss Houston. I miss my hairdresser that really knows how to cut hair. I miss having an endless amount of options for things to do on a Friday night. I’m not really cut out to live in a small town. |

The Commons are nice. Made up of Mosher, Kruger, Dunn, and Aston Halls, they’re mostly for freshmen. I found I really enjoyed my experience in Mosher. The Commons is the main place on Southside. The modular dorms are really nice, too. They are pretty big and offer private bathrooms. I would suggest either the Commons or a modular dorm. Even the ones with a community bath are pretty nice, but I wanted a bathroom right there by my room. In the Commons, you and your roommate share a pretty big bathroom with two suitemates. Once a week, cleaning people clean the bathrooms in the Commons, which was really nice. |

Places like the Callaway House and Traditions are student dorm alternatives located near campus in these massive skyscraper buildings. They are expensive, and mostly freshmen live there. |

You can get much better deals off campus than on campus. Dorms are expensive for the space you get. If you want an apartment for next year, rent now!’ |

The holy grail of houses is to find one on the south side of campus. They are cool, historical houses and so close you can ride your bike to school. |

The convenience of off-campus housing depends on where you live, but with the bus system, pretty much everywhere is great. |

No, we’re not really diverse, but the only people I hear complaining are members of the administration. |

Diversity is another thing A&M doesn’t have. I’m not saying there are only white people, but the number of whites compared to the number of any other race is very lopsided. It’s not a big deal, though. |

My roommate was Greek, and she was so cool. She broke every stereotype I had about sorority girls. She made me want to rush my sophomore year. |

It’s a really big campus with lots of hot guys and pretty girls. You have a large selection of guys to pick from—believe me! The trick is finding the type you are ‘truly’ looking for, which can be a challenge. |

There is definitely a Greek scene, but it hardly dominates. There are many students who aren’t really fond of the Greeks, but it’s there if you are interested. |

I like the guys here that know chivalry is not dead. For the most part, they are extremely respectful to all women. |

I would say we’re diverse. It seems like there are people of all races here, but there really are a lot of white people. |

This school is awesome. The people here are so friendly and helpful. Everyday I am amazed at the dedication Aggies have for others. It’s true that A&M has a bit of a conservative atmosphere, but there are plenty of liberal people as well. Don’t get me wrong—just because it’s a bit conservative, it doesn’t mean we don’t like to have a good time. You just have to find your niche. There are tons of things to get involved in. |

I just graduated from A&M, and it was the best five years of my entire life. You get out of college what you put in. My advice is to get involved in something on campus—be it Greek life, clubs, or something else. Make as many friends as possible. At a school of over 45,000 students, there wasn’t a day that I walked around on campus and didn’t see someone I knew. |
