It's not frowned upon at all. Personally I won't wear stuff that looks like I'm going out to class, but it's not really all that conservative. My shorts are usually about a 2-3.5" inseam if that helps.
thanks! and do almost all the girls wear the big t-shirt and nike shorts look? im from cali and nobody wears that, but is it really common especially if I plan on joining a sorority?
Yes they do. Personally, I sometimes wear the big shirt/nike shorts because it's comfortable (especially since my profs seem to love teaching at 8), but also like variety. I'll sometimes do a t-shirt or even a "nicer" shirt (sorry if that made no sense) and jeans/jean shorts to class, too. But yes, in the sororities it is quite common, but I have seen many of them coming to class dressed in other clothes as well.

Urban Outfitters is about 10 minutes away (depending on traffic), several close forever 21 stores, and a nordstrom that's about 20-25ish minutes (also depending on traffic).

TCU women are well-known for their looks. A few years ago, Playboy supposedly voted the school among the hottest national universities. Most girls at TCU are the sorority type, but if you come looking for something different, you're sure to find it. TCU guys are not known for being quite as attractive, though most are quite appealing to the eye and by manners. Many students seem sexually promiscuous, as rumors circulate as to which of the sororities is the "easiest" by the reputations of the members. Similar rumors exist about the female dorms, as well.
Most students at TCU take part in Greek life, which makes it harder to find someone outside of that. Finding someone new and interesting is by no means impossible, and most of the people are at least somewhat attractive. There is more than enough beauty to go around here at TCU, no matter what type of beauty your eye beholds.
