The area bars tend to be the most popular, but some students occasionally head into downtown Fort Worth or Dallas for a change of scenery.
The various bars and clubs in the Fort Worth area provide entertainment for all ages. The Galaxy Club, located in Downtown Dallas, and Billy Bob’s, located in Downtown Fort Worth, are just two places popular among underage students. I am not going to pussyfoot around this one- unless you join a Greek organization, the nightlife isn't great. However, if you do so, the nightlife is great; there are always mixers or parties going on. There are clubs in downtown Fort Worth, and bars right across from campus if you're 21.

The parties on campus are good but...
The parties on campus are good but are just repeats of parties that came before them. Mixers can be fun with the different themes but it's just the same people doing the same thing every Thursday. Recently Thursday Night Alternative has been introduced at a club in the stockyards. I personally prefer the energy of a club to a house party so I've really enjoyed Thursday nights at Dream. Most clubs downtown are 21 & up but look for special college student nights on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

There are a ton of night life options. Of course there are always a number of house parties and mixers hosted by the Greeks over the weekends and basically all clubs are 18-and-older. There is something for everyone.

The parties are usual, like everywhere else—loud music and all. I haven’t really visited the clubs or bars. |
