Fort Worth offers several nearby off-campus dining options. Students who can’t find something to eat in the dining halls have a number of options—many within walking distance. The number of 24-hour restaurants gives students another late-night dining option. With many student favorites so close to campus, it isn’t hard to get off campus for a good meal—even on a college budget.

Most restaurants in Fort Worth specialize in American or Mexican cuisine. However, it is still possible to find excellent restaurants around that prepare food from different regions. Off-campus dining makes up for the flaws in the campus dining facilities, and also gives students a variety of options that are otherwise non-existent on campus.

Fast Food Abounds

The dining options off campus include an array of fast-food or sandwich sit down shops. These options are easily accessible, ideally located on the main road into the campus. The pricing is economical around $6 for an average meal combo deal. The farther from campus you go the better sit-down dining options become.

TCU Off Campus Dining

Just across the street from the dorms, there are several different restaurants. Downtown, there are even more and the drive is less than five minutes. Fuzzy's and Yo! are popular places all of the students go to. On Friday's some places give half priced meals and appetizers if you wear purple. At most places near campus you can use the convenient swipe option on the TCU ID which has Frog Bucks , an alternative to cash, on it. That means as long as you have you ID you can always get a meal!
