College Prowler Take

Fort Worth offers several nearby off-campus dining options. Students who can’t find something to eat in the dining halls have a number of options—many within walking distance. The number of 24-hour restaurants gives students another late-night dining option. With many student favorites so close to campus, it isn’t hard to get off campus for a good meal—even on a college budget.

Most restaurants in Fort Worth specialize in American or Mexican cuisine. However, it is still possible to find excellent restaurants around that prepare food from different regions. Off-campus dining makes up for the flaws in the campus dining facilities, and also gives students a variety of options that are otherwise non-existent on campus.

The restaurants off campus are amazing. There are so many cuisines to choose from within walking distance: Mexican, American, Italian, sports bar food, etc. Dutch's is a really good burger joint within walking distance from TCU.

There are tons of restaurants around. Within walking distance you have places like Dutch's (best hamburgers i've ever had), Red Cactus (mexican food), Buffalo Bros (pizza and wings) as well as Smoothie King, Potbelly's and Einstein Bros. Bagels. If you head down Barry street you have local fave Fuzzy's and some fast foot like Taco Bell, Jack in the Box, Wendy's. One of my favorite Italian places is Joe's Pasta and Pizza. If you venture to Hulen you have places like Chipotle and Marble Slab and down University you have Chili's and Macaroni Grill.

I won’t go praising it [off-campus dining], because it is nothing spectacular, but the surrounding area has plenty of places to eat such as Joe T Garcia’s, Uncle Julio, Hoffbraus, Charleston’s, Chili’s, Goode Co., and many more.
