College Prowler Take
Parking at TCU is neither cheap nor easy. It’s difficult to find a spot close to campus, as most tend to be far away from the classroom buildings. Students who arrive in the parking lot early stand a chance of finding a reasonable parking spot, but there are no guarantees. TCU does provide shuttle buses for students to and from both the freshmen parking lot and the overflow lot. Parking is certainly a hot topic at TCU. Most students are fed up with remote parking locations, the hassle of finding a spot, and the overall inconveniance that TCU parking entails. The prime area of campus has the fewest spots, which greatly contributes to the problem. Parking at TCU can be a real challenge, but the addition of another shuttle has since eased some of the stress.

Parking is pretty good compared to many schools. The freshman lot is a bit of a walk away but less than a mile from main campus so i think that's pretty good. If that fills up there is always overflow across the street. The amount of parking could be improved and it's sometimes hard to find a good spot by your dorm to unload things. It is very practical to bring your car freshman year, and I would recommend it if you don't live too far away. Be careful though, because the police will not hesitate to give you a parking ticket so make sure you have a pass.

Parking is not great, but there is a spot for everyone. Freshman parking is the worst, but in comparison to other schools it's probably a lot better. It's less than a 5-minute walk to get your car, and considering how little you end up using it, not bad at all.

Parking at TCU is miserable. The freshman lot is awful, and if you want a spot when driving to class from off campus, you have to leave 30 or more minutes early. I have also racked up about $2,000+ in parking citations in a little more than two years.

Parking, in general, is very difficult; a lot of spots have been taken out and there are too many people on campus with cars. For the most part, you really don’t need a car while you’re here. Buses go through regularly, and there’s always someone else going to the same place that you are—it’s called carpooling. |

If you have an 8 a.m. class, no problem. It’s not too bad at 9 a.m., but anything after 9 a.m. you better forget about. The biggest complaint I have about TCU is their parking—it sucks! |
