The classes are pretty challenging. but are easy enough for you to pass

There are some pretty good restaurants in the San Marcos area.

Texas State life could be better if it wasn't such a party school. Other than that the staff care about the students and the campus is beautiful. There are many green spaces, and a river that runs right through campus, it doesn't get much better than that.

San Marcos is a small town, but it's an environment that caters very well to a college student and their needs.

The academic policies aren't prohibitive, but they aren't too loose either.

Health & Safety:
The clinic is excellent and provides great service, but there are a lot of safety risks I am notified of via email almost weekly happening around campus.

Kinda overrated here for what the parties and activities on campus they should be providing.

We've got a great sports following when it comes to tail-gating. It's a huge deal to get ready for the games, but once the games start, most people leave or just stay at tailgate to socialize and hang out with friends and make more.

San Marcos has a river going through the campus. It is constantly beautiful. 85 degrees and a slight breeze. Life can't get much better at Texas State.

Other than the line in the library, there were computer labs in almost every building on campus. Unlimited printing is included in our tuition, so it was not an issue to print out larger amounts for the classes. They have scanners that you can e-mail to yourself or others and its very clear. The reason for the A- is because I have had times when the lines for printers are just filled, so you've got to be patient when others are printing larger jobs.

As a freshman coming into a college, the dorms give you an amazing opportunity to meet other kids in the dorm. They have activities planned for residents multiple times a week and the lobby was a great place to meet people. Even without going to the dorm activities, eating in the lunch areas is very open and approaching strangers was no problem for me. I absolutely loved living on campus because I ended up meeting my future roommates off campus and made life long friends.

The parking is not bad. The cost of permits are a little pricy but, they do last for the year. There are usually spots always available, if you don't mind walking down a few stairs if the first floor is already filled.

Everyone is always excited about supporting our athletes. It's really fun to get involved and participate in the school pride.

The school is very good at getting most of their teachers to supply what we need to be successful. Most teachers really want to help us be successful and are not hesitant in doing so. It is great to know that they care about our success as students and as potential working people.

You are open to learn a lot of things to be successful in your field. The professors are very knowledgeable about what they are teaching and are broad in their understanding of how to apply what we are taught in a broader perspective as far as being successful in the working world.

There are computer labs in almost every building of campus. The computers work very well and I never feel the need to carry my own laptop around because I know I will be able to have easy access to a computer wherever I am on campus.

There are buses that take you everywhere! It is very convenient. I think they recently changed the routes because there are some places the buses no longer take you, but the bus system around campus is a very nice service TSU has.

You get very tired of eating at the dining halls. There are even certain places on campus that I avoid because the food either is not good or I'm tired of eating the food. I also wish they had healthier food choices. No one likes Cartwells at our campus. I prefer to eat off campus.

Health & Safety:
Campus Police are very helpful and nice.
They are visible and ready to respond for the students saftey

There are many places that offer student discounts and specials.
Most accept bobcat bucks too!

Health & Safety:
Campus police is always around to assist. Crimes in the area consist of mostly delinquent break ins that shouldn't worry you. Nothing major. Just run the appropriate measure of always securing your belongings and you'll be fine.

Local restaurants near campus offer student discounts or use "bobcat bucks" (cafeteria money that you paid with tuition). Nonetheless, there are an abundance of trailor shacks that sell great food (similar to Austin's trailor restaurants). Taproom is a must!
College Senior 2013-08-24T22:22:49Z
There are countless computers in all the buildings for student use. Free printing (wireless printing as well) in the library. If you prefer to use your own laptop or tablet there is wifi all across campus. Having your own device to work out of beats searching for an open computer. I personally don't bring my own to school because there are plenty available to use and I wouldn't want to run the risk of losing or having it stolen.

Texas State is located in along the San Marcos River, which you can take a dip in whenever your in need of some sun or a study break. San Marcos has a vibrant night life known as "The Square" downtown district area with nightclubs and bars. If your not into that, there is San Antonio 30 minutes south and Austin 30 minutes north. You will never have a dull moment for sure!

DRUG SCENE DEPENDS ON WHO YOU HANGOUT WITH. I ATTEND LEE COLLEGE AND I DO NOT REALLY HANGOUT WITH ANYONE. I HAVE NEVER BEEN OFFERED DRUGS. SEEMS PRETTY CALM FOR A COMMUNITY COLLEGE.
