There is something going on every weekend whether it be a Greek social or a party, even a study group it's never dull. The clubs, bars, and good food are always close by. A river is near where late night swims and BBQs' occur.

The facilities at Texas State are top notch. Our Library is huge and the perfect place to study. The student recreation center is a filled with many different exercise machines, basketball courts, and an indoor pool! The campus is one of the prettiest in the state.

We have a lot of school spirit at Texas State. Everyone usually comes to every football, basketball, and baseball game. There is also a huge involvement of Intramural Sports. So if you aren't on the school team you can just make one of your own!

I have classes online. I am 8 hours away from university. I go there twice a year and eat there when I am on campus.

I don't party so I wouldn't know. The square is pretty close by and so walking to get a sandwich is convenient.

Guys & Girls:
Many students at Texas State dress casually and comfortably. There is a wide range of ethnicities. Many students frequent "The Square" which is just a few block from the university. You don't even need a car, you just walk to downtown San Marcos. The river is also a great place to be!
You can just float down the river with your friends and relax.

Many students have their own computers. You probably need to get your own router to access the internet in some of the dorms. Probably a good idea to invest in a computer so you won't need to use the computer labs.

I have been satisfied with the academics at Texas State. The professors have been anywhere from average to above average with their teaching methodology. I have had some problems with the registration process. Many classes are closed before I can register for them. They will not allow you to take the class even when it's your senior year. My last semester has been extremely stressful due to these circumstances.

My Exercise and Sports science major with an emphasis in pre-physical therapy is challenging and provides me with many opportunities to learn what I need for grad school.

This campus is a drug free campus that helps with the smoking situation on campus. There are a lot of bars around campus though that people can walk to so that drinking is prevalent. But the drug scene is not really big.

My major is Exercise Sports Science with an emphasis on Physical Therapy. All the classes are very helpful in teaching you what you need to know in order to get into PT school or AT school. All the classes are very competitive and difficult. They help you become the best student and PT you can be and help you get ready for Grad school.

I love being in the ESS with a emphasis on Pre- Physical Therapy. It is a tough major to go through here because there are a lot of people in it with all the same grades and all strive for the same goal. It is a very competitive major and all the classes help you when you apply for PT school or any other grad program that you choose to apply to. All the teachers and classes help you become the best student possible and to be around all the same minded people help you strive to become the best student you can be. The professors are all very helpful!

Guys & Girls:
I can't really describe what guys and girls look like because each person is different in the way they look. This school has a wide variety of students and addresses diversity in many ways, such as age; race; ethnicity; gender; sexual orientation; nationality; religion; etc. To answer this question I would be giving a very biased opinion about the general student population and I do not think that is fair since every person is unique.

It changes every year, and they don't tell you that. Almost every semester I get a hold that I have to take care of due to there new policy.

School parking is strict, don't try to park without a parking pass, you will get a ticket. Tobacco free campus...I love that!

We have the river for the morning and the square for the night life. Great college atmosphere and plenty of cafe's to study at
College Junior 2013-04-28T17:35:35Z
Parking on campus is really expensive and annoying. On a week day morning, it takes forever to find a parking spot unless you pay hourly in a parking garage. Parking Services patrols regularly and gives tickets left and right. They make so much money it is insane.

The Tram at Texas State University is average. The buses are sometimes overcrowded or extremely slow. However, there is a smart phone application that allows the bus rider to know when the next bus will arrive at the current location of the phone. This app is pretty handy but sometimes inaccurate.
College Junior 2013-04-28T17:25:43Z
There is tons of diversity at Texas State University. As you walk through campus, you can see tons of organizations advertising and fundraising. People of all ethnic groups and races come together and enjoy student life. People are very accepting of others in this wonderful environment.

This is a college town. Although, it is expanding; there just isn't enough super quality apartments. You have your typical college apartments and living arrangements. However, for those who seek to live in a super plush swag pad; you are not going to find those types of properties in abundance. Renting a house is a nightmare. Well, if you can find one to rent. Those are usually gone before you can even think about it.

Guys & Girls:
Solid B. Nothing more, nothing less. This is spandex U. All the girls wear leggings and spandex everyday on campus no matter the weather. The guys here a pretty laid back. The female student body is tone and in shape.

This is Central Texas! San Marcos is located directly in the middle of Central Texas in the Hill Country. It doesn't matter what you want to do, you can find it in, near, around, or a few miles down the road. San Marcos offers The Square, rivers for floating and tubing, hiking trails, excellent nightlife for students, and also features an on campus river. Plenty of bars, pubs, and taverns to wet your whistle. There is always something to do no matter the day, time, or season; as the weather is typically fair year round. If you do not feel like going out in San Marcos then Austin is 25 minutes away going north and San Antonio is another 45 minutes away going south. Two large cities that you can find any and everything you want to do.

It's alright. The usual fast food places and popular restaurants. Not as many student discounts as you would expect. Unfortunately.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
