Many diverse races, religions, and sexual orientations. Everyone is very accepting of other people's beliefs, and most people on campus like to learn about peoples different cultures and belief systems. We also have many many clubs and organizations furthering the acceptance of all sexual orientations. One of the main ones is known as ally.

There are really ALOT of options. The smallest meal plan is 150 meal trades with 125 Dinning Dollars, that is a good amount to start out with. However, you will get bored of eating the same kind of foods. The Dinning Dollars are accepted off campus too. So you can always treat yourself to other options whenever you get tired. At each semester, you unused meal trades will transfer but your Dinning Dollars do not.

As a Nursing Major, I have many options of schools to go to. Texas State has a fairly new nursing program that started in 2010. That is what caught my eye, I wanted to be apart of something really new. I would never change my major. Its real competitive to get into, which just makes me strive harder for A's. My ultimate goal is to become a CRNA, seeing as I'll be in school for such a long time, I picked up a business minor to fall back on in case I do not get into the graduate program or can't find a job right away. Always got to have a back up plan.

I don't know much about the 21+ parts about the nightlife, seeing as I am underage. However, I have heard A LOT of great things about it. But, there is alot of options for underage nightlife!

This is really how you get into the social life. Random people will just come knock on your door and invite you out. Everyone is so nice to each other. All dorms have ups and downs. It all really just depends on how you look at the situation and pick good roommates. The costs is very good.

San Marcos is right between Austin and San Antonio! Therefore, it's great living in this area. It's also a very friendly and outdoor kind of place. Small town feel surrounded by big city life. Perfect!

There are dining halls all over campus, but after a while, you get tired of the food.
College Sophomore 2012-12-09T08:16:18Z
Transportation is great! There is a tram that takes you all over campus, off campus, and to other cities!

There are a lot of different apartments near campus that allows you to be close to the university, but still have some freedom.

I'm not going to lie, parking at Texas State sucks! It's expensive, and you have to come to campus around 8 am to find a spot.

There are tons of computer labs on campus that are free and readily available to students. The network can be slow occasionally though.

There is a variety of apartments available in San Marcos. Some are extremely close to campus which is nice because you can just walk right to class! There are 1-4 bedroom apartments available all over town. I use a location service each year to decide where I will live. They give you an overview of prices, perks, parking, etc. San Marcos is a pretty safe place to live as well.

There is a high selection of fast food chains. I am not particularly fond of that. Only one restuarant offers a student discount. There are many large restuarants however I don't want to eat there since I am usually just needing something fast and easy.

I am very pleased with the McCoy School of Business at Texas State. The overall experience has been rewarding and professional. Most professors use their real world experience to help guide the class throught the semester. Every professor has been considerate of our personal needs such as a 40 hr work week, kids, family, etc. It's such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that fosters learning, I love it!

In every class I have been to I have seen a diverse selection of students. Every type of person, age, race, gender, etc. What's really cool about the Round Rock campus is that majority of the students are working parents. And that's really cool!

I am in the McCoy College of Business at Texas State in Round Rock, and my overall experience has been great! The faculty seems very interested and dedicated to their students and the facility is gorgious! All of my professors use real world experience in the class room. One professor even took the time to talk to me about my major options and he encouraged me to change my major.

Off-Campus Housing at Texas State University is at a reasonable price! I have lived in my apartment for 2 years and the cost is too good to be true. Bus route availability. Parking is great. Safety is excellent. landlords are awesome! The school provides information on various apartments near the college.

It stays usually bright during the summer, occasionally with an extremity of now 100's, but all buildings have a/c which is where you'll reside most of the time anyways unless your looking for sweating and getting a tan.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
