Cheaper Than on-Campus – I'm living off campus because it's cheaper, and I'd rather have it more house-like than living in a dorm. Just like residence halls, some are loud and some are quiet. I recommend you do research before you sign a lease because my roommates and I almost ended up in an apartment that had a shooting and robbery a few years back. You also want to make sure you have good management.

So Much Better Than High School – All of the teachers I have had are great, even if they are difficult. When asked they will help and have time set aside for students to ask questions.

A Few Problems During Rush Hour – Sometimes the computer rooms get crowded and the printers aren't of the highest quality, but it is great considering the amount of students that use them.

Fantastic Choice I Have Made – I am extremely happy with the program I have choose. My career goal is to become a dentist. I am not concern about finding a job in the dental profession because it is a growing career.

Summer All the Time. It's never too hot or cold here at Texas State. It's right near the heart of Texas so we have the perfect weather. Not too much rain or snow! (Hardly any snow actually) And you can go out in shorts during the winter time.

Clean and Perfect – The facilites at Texas State are always clean and well kept. They are even visually appealing and open at the perfect hours for a college student. I reccomend them all!

A Place to Learn – Texas State is the perfect school in the perfect spot. It's right between Austin and San Antonio, so you're close to everything. There is tons to do and see, like the river. And the campus facilites are amazing! The professors really help you out, and you can count on getting a good education here.

The Lazy River – Texas State is probably famous for its river. Everyone loves to go there to swim, tan, hang out with friends, do yoga, and anything else leisurely at the River. The River adds to the relaxed atmosphere at Texas State. A lot of people get stressed out during school, and sometimes we don't realize how much the school surroundings can add to that. The beautiful and clean river, along with the rolling hills of San Marcos, Texas relieves the anxiety and stress caused by school and everyday life.

The Cheapest Are the Worst – This past year I experienced in staying in one of the cheaper dorms and it was terrible. The air condition would go out for days, there were bugs, you could hear everything through the walls, the community bathrooms are disgusting.

Could Be Better – The majority of the students are White, but there is a fair share of other faces as well.

Only 21 and Over – In San Marcos there are only 21 and over clubs and bars, students under 21 would have to go to either Austin or San Antonio if they really wanted to go to a club. But there are always parties that are open to anyone of any age.

If you enjoy greek life, this school is not for you.
College Junior 2012-05-30T21:47:37Z
Off-Campus isn't so good. The places range from extremely far to extremely close. The better the housing the further away it is from campus so that kind of sucks.
College Junior 2012-05-30T21:45:24Z
It's always cheaper and better to ride the school bus, but beware that they don't always drop you off by the closet destination.

The facilities aren't horrible, but the school is old
Sorry, there are no reviews.
