The closest the Lair at the LBJ building or Jones. If you're looking to go to one on your break though, they're not that close, I used to try it when I was in my drawing class.
Harris is the closest dining hall to the Fine Arts building. The lair isn't too far away either.
Only Harris Dining Hall. It is about a 3 minute walk. All the other ones is like a 10 minute walk. It's like a buffet. Pretty good!

Texas State has a variety of food choices. There are two buffets on campus, and both have a special grill where you can request food like omelets and stir-fry made the way you like it. Every dining hall has either a salad bar or a place where you can have a gourmet salad made for you. Texas State tries to provide some healthier options for on-campus dining. The most popular food court, and the one open the latest, is Jones Dining Hall.
Since prices are a bit high without a meal plan, if you don't live on campus, you may want to pack your own lunch. The other option would be just to get a meal plan, which isn't too expensive. You can start using your meal trades at 10:30 a.m. at the Lair, while at all other places you can use meal trades as soon as they open.
