Lag Time

I feel that Texas Tech offers students the adequate amouont of aid they need, however, it takes a while to receive those benefits. Generally, when students apply and are in need for financial aid, they don't have a lot of financial flexibility to cover the expenses they need to attend school. The money is given eventually, however, sometimes I have had to cover some costs before my account shows that the awards have been given. I eventually get re-embursed which is nice, but it is stressful having to wait so long. The Financial Aid Office is very helpful with letting students know their status, so I suggest calling them to get immediate assistance.

Process

The process at Texas Tech is very helpful if you're will to go and ask for help. They obviously can't help everyone but if you go and ask for help they are willing to see what they can do for you
