Health & Safety:
The Health and the Safety departments are excellent. They respond quickly and provide many services.
College Junior 2013-11-21T19:08:34Z
The music department is not stellar and the staff are somewhat disorganized.

Because class sizes are generally small, teachers have the opportunity to spend more time with the individual. Teachers know the names of their students and have the students' best interests in mind.

There are no limits on time usage or printing. I suggest students rely primarily on the available resources.

The food on campus is somewhat tricky. There are few options and even fewer times when things are open. If you can manage to get around these two issues, the actual food is fairly decent.

The campus is beautiful. Some of the buildings are very old and in need of renovation. If I were to choose over again, I would probably think twice about going to a "woman's" university. I feel there is a bias that discriminates against men. I also think that the music program is somewhat below average compared to other universities. It definitely has a chip on its shoulder considering University of North Texas is just down the street and has a very famous music college.

Compared to the horrible winters of the East Coast and the Northern Nevada Dessert, I am pleased to report excellent temperatures during most of the year. The sun is usually out and shining. However, the summers are absolutely brutal! I much prefer the dry heat of Nevada.

I have not completed an internship.

Parking here at TWU is very close to the campus regardless of whether or not you buy a parking permit. I would recommend a permit, however, due to how quickly the spots fill up (and how attentive the campus police are to parking).

Having lived in varied towns and cities, I would say that the transportation here in Denton is fairly average. It is not always the most convenient, but it definitely gets you to most places at most times.

Health & Safety:
I personally never had a problem, but people who have, there issue was resolved. I feel safe on campus even though we are mostly a women's population.

There is a chik fil a on campus which seems to be the only favorite restaurant at TWU. The student union is very out of date and needs to be renovated. A new one ws supposed to be built in 2016 but i believe plans were cancelled. The library is beautiful and an original building. The chapel on a hill is petite but precious and you will see weddings on campus occasionlly. The gym is amazing and new with a rock climbing wall, fitness classes, a basket ball court, treadmills and ellipticals with television powered by energy made from your work out. I love their fit and rec.

On my dorm floor, half of the floor was focused and very studious while the other half did drugs and alcohol and liked to party. Most of the parties are hosted by University of North Texas students where girls will go meet guys since there is a small percentage of men on campus. Drugs were not really heard of much besides for the few and occasional students who did not care about school. The school is more focused on education than partying.

There are computer labs in almost every building which is nice when you need to run to the computer really quick. Print as much as you want for free. Technology support comes immediately during work hours and there is Wi-Fi at the school. The connection doesnt stay though and you have to sign in every time yoh walk into a different building. I liked having my own lap top to work in my room.

Housing was just an experience and not for me. My roommate and I got along fine until the end of the semester which made living on campus dreadful, our kitchen area on our floor was always dirty and the microwave was disgusting, and the trash always over flowing. My RA was great until second semester when she disappeared and forgot about us. There is a convience store in the dorms which is nice and with a meal plan they allot you a small amount of money to use there for late night runs, when you run out of toilet paper and have no time to go to walmart, and they have food. I think there was too much estrogen for me. I got along great with the only two guys on our floor and we had a lot of fun. It can be really loud sometimes and even if you ask someone to quiet down because your roommate is sleeping or you are studying you just get eyes rolled at you. I believe the experience is decided on who you live with and how well yall get along. They do do a personality test and try to match you with someone with similiar qualities and unfortunately i did not get to do that. I met her at freshman orientation and got to know her for a day. They also do living learning communities which is nice because you live with people who are studying your major and designated classes are set so you will get to know these people and be able to do homework together and can study.

There is a great variety of studies, and within each department is a very good degree plan. The only downfall is the break up of some majors and the very specific majors are very competitive
College Sophomore 2013-10-15T20:59:49Z
There are a couple major options, but it's nothing spectacular like bigger schools. The Chick fi la is the hot spot over all. I think if there were more options more people would be more likely to get good from the dining services.

Greeks are always doing something on campus. This campus is not really seen to have Greeks but with the growing student body, Greeks are getting more involved and active on campus. There isn't Greek housing though.
College Sophomore 2013-10-15T20:48:00Z
The school is nice and they are always keeping it kept up. But there are a couple of buildings that are older and you can tell the wear and tear.
College Junior 2013-10-13T23:30:58Z
Not that much of financial aid given as compared to what I was getting at other schools.
College Sophomore 2013-10-07T15:29:19Z
Too many people, too few parking spots. My teachers told me that they oversell the parking permits under the assumption that not everybody who bought will be trying to park on campus at the same time.
College Sophomore 2013-10-07T15:28:28Z
There are virtually NO parties at TWU. The parties are all at UNT. However, UNT is just down the street... so if you want to party have no fear, UNT is here.
College Sophomore 2013-10-07T15:26:20Z
I like the rec center and the library. The union is a bit outdated.
College Sophomore 2013-10-07T15:25:06Z
The rec center is fantastic (it's only been around for a few years) and the library is wonderful.
College Freshman 2013-10-01T16:58:15Z
No drugs ... AT ALL. People don't even live on campus.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
