My favorite aspect about this school is the Applied Professional Practice office. Every semester you have the chance to volunteer in a way that directly relates to one of your courses. Great for kinesthetic learners.

Because this is a graduate and Ph.D only school it is assumed that students know how to be responsible and can take care of themselves. They are also expected to be able to manage their school responsibilities and personal ones on their own.

It's Chicago - what more can I say? It has everything you could want.

I love my program and can't find a thing wrong with it. I'm so happy this school turned out to be a great fit for me.

Because this is a graduate and Ph.D only institution in the middle of the city there isn't a "drug scene."

I didn't have any problems getting financial aid, though they were a little slow on awarding school scholarships.

The campus is in the Chicago Loop so great food options are everywhere.

The weather does not affect my campus experience. I commute to campus and deal with whatever the weather is that day.

The school's mission focused on diversity and they do their best to obtain that. However, the school is mostly comprised of young 30-something females; though that has more to do with who applies than the school's choice of enrollees.

This school is at the forefront of the psychology field. I would chose this school again if I did it all over. It has everything I wanted in a school.

Because this is a graduate and doctoral school in the middle of the city there isn't a "party scene." Classmates will go out for a few drinks.
College Sophomore 2013-11-03T23:30:39Z
The school is located in the Chicago Loop. Driving doesn't make much sense so everyone takes public transit.

There is no printing limit and both computers in the labs and wireless access are easy to obtain.
College Sophomore 2013-11-03T23:28:44Z
Students are always coming and going from activities, study groups, and hanging around with each other.

Guys & Girls:
This is a graduate and doctoral school; we are not particularly focused on the attractiveness of our classmates.
College Sophomore 2013-11-03T23:26:37Z
This is a city graduate school; there are no school sports

Housing is not provided by the school, so how good an apartment you find is up to you. But the school provides very good resources to help you find a place.

School does not provide housing. However, it provides lot of resources on how to find an apartment in the city, which helped me out a lot!

In the summer the weather is almost always beautiful but on the winter The Hulk comes out, and its FREEZING! Oh and don't forget about the snow.

My school is pretty strict on attendance and grades. If you miss two classes then you drop a letter grade and any more the two you fail. Also if you get a C it is considered failing. Im sure there are some exceptions to the rule like family illness, death in the family, or new addition to your immediate family but there are very few. Besides attendance the school is pretty lenient on other topics. Oh I forgot plagiarism, they are not lenient on this topic.

The only drug that is discussed openly is alcohol. Everything thing else is discussed privately because its not legal to use. After class numerous students talk about going to bars or going somewhere to grab a drink. There is not really peer pressure to drink. Almost everyone drinks, but if you do not no one tries to force you. There is not really a policy on drug usage at our school. I believe as long as the professors and staff are unaware that you are under the influence then one probably would not encounter any problems. So far no one has come to school under the influence or at least it wasn't visible.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
