This campus is for students in accelerated programs and graduate programs.....smart students who aren't risking their education for drugs. Drugs is not an issue at this campus.

Huge parking lot, doesn't matter what time I get there I can always get a nice close spot.

This campus is a smaller version of the 'home' campus, so like I said, its accelerate programs and graduate programs, so the entire building is our 'student center.' Wide open area to work on our stuff with a printer/copier for us to use. There is a free espresso machine for us to use as well.

Our school purchased a mannequin for our program that can sweat, have a heart beat, develop cyanosis, etc. Basically, this mannequin can develop signs and symptoms like a real patient.

The college I attend has laptops to use if we need them, but it is a campus for accelerated programs and grad programs, so most everyone just brings their own for personal convenience. Not a single person there doesn't have a laptop.

My college it within minutes of the Mississippi River and another big college, so there is always something going on or somewhere to explore.

We have a beautiful lake in Duluth and the campus is gorgeous and old. There is plenty to do and the town isn't very big, about 80,000 people. I don't drink or party so none of that applies to me.

I think the on-campus RA's enforce the rules in the dorms very well.

I live in Duluth so when it's cold and snowy, we usually don't have class if our professors can't make it across the bridge or to the campus safely. I only live about 7 miles from campus and have no tires so it's not too bad.

The permits cost 150 bucks a semester which is fine since it's charged to my student account, but I can never find a spot close to the main building - I always have to park a ways away by the on-campus apartments since the close parking lots are filled with on-campus cars. It sucks!
College Junior 2013-10-26T15:57:05Z
It's not a nice neighborhood
College Junior 2013-10-22T22:38:56Z
It has gone pretty good it is a bit pricey for school.

I have it is a great program! I am able to work and go to school successfully. I have already have had one internship with my two year degree! I feel the papers we write are more relating to school than tests.

Duluth is a big city compared to my hometown. It is nice that Scholastica is hidden up on the hill, and is rather secluded from city life. I like that we have a mall, and places to go when we are bored, but leaving campus and venturing out into the actually city scares me a little. I am always nervous about my car getting broken into, or getting hurt.

Health & Safety:
There are a few lots on campus that we have to cross a bridge to get through, or walk a far way to get back to our apartment. If I am alone I tend to get frightened, and do not want to use the campus security escort service. I am a 6ft tall girl, and I feel like they would look at me and assume I could handle my own, and then would refuse to escort me.

Just do what you are supposed to do, and you'll be fine.

Student life on our campus is very community oriented and interactive. There are coffee shops, areas for group study or individual study. Also a chapel for us to worship if we choose.
College Student 2013-09-06T18:34:38Z
I have not personally seen any drug or alcohol usage at this school, but I am also not naive enough to think it doesn't exist. I just think our college has a community feel and it really depends on who you hang out with.

The campus is strict about academics and attendances. The security campus is always around. However, they could have more staff to patrol the campus as the numbers of students are increasing.

The process of getting into the Health Informaiton Management program was a smooth transition from Nursing. All the staff was very helpful in getting the ball rolling for online enrollment. I had a great experience with the HIM department staff when I applied. I would suggest to people to communicate well and ask questions (even if it seems to be a sill one).
College Senior 2013-08-21T15:46:33Z
I have done an internship for a week at the local hospital. It was a great experience and I absolutely loved working there for that week. The school was very good about setting up all the contacts and times of the internship. I have to do another internship the fall and I do not have any worries about finding a place to complete it.

I have only ate once at the cafeteria on campus. Otherwise, I have lived off campus and only ate at the "snack bar" for lunch and or snacks.
They have a good variety of food and is is well priced. I enjoyed having that option because it was easier to have quick access in-between classes.

I have started out my college career as a physical therapist major and then switched to Nursing. I had to relocated closer to home for my parents health to help out. Therefore, I researched my options for online courses within the same college. I found Health Information Management and I feel that I made the right choice even if it took longer than most. I hope to continue to work in a small rural clinic. However, I feel that I will be able to find an abundance of jobs nationwide. My school is very helpful to let students know about positings in the area and the HIM department encourages students to become members of HIM organizations to help with networking and finding jobs.

Public transportation in Duluth is not the greatest. The buses aren't always reliable and they come every half hour or more. Taxis are expensive so I wouldn't recommend that but there is a little shopping plaza that is with walking distance.

Every year I get selected for verification with my FAFSA and the financial aid people are usually pretty good at giving me the right answers and helping me out. A few forms have been lost over the years though and it's always a pain re-doing them.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
