Even though it's a two-year school, the Community College of Baltimore County still packs a four-year punch in terms of everything it provides. Student life activities are planned by the season, with athletics, events, and clubs and organizations that are top-notch. Any student can choose to be a Greek member, Black Student Union correspondent, or MVP for the CCBC basketball league.

Aside from the student life aspect, CCBC makes academics its top priority. All professors have a different way of teaching; however, they are all similar in one aspect—they expect a lot from their students. No one said that college-level courses would be easy, and the professors at CCBC make sure that students earn their grades (whether it's an A or a D). To make the Dean's List at the end of each semester, a student must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher while taking at least 12 credits without earning a D or F during that time. To be a part of the Honors Program, a student must complete 15 honors credits and earn an overall GPA of 3.5 or better. For students who struggle with school, CCBC provides tutoring resources to help students try to achieve Dean's List or honors status. With so many opportunities and support, there's no excuse not to get the most out of this college, but it's really up to the student. The future is in his or her hands.
