The Seminary has students from all over the US as well as international students, so the diversity includes a very wide range of incdividuals.

The Cafeteria is a good option but isn't open for extended hours. This is pretty much the same for most of the other on campus options.

There are a few places around the campus but it is an overall good experience. They have a weekly rotation for meals in the cafeteria but it is usually decent.

Each student is required to sign the school covenant. A breach of the covenant can end in expulsion from the school.

As I previously stated, the professors who teach here are those who have been in the field for years. They write their own textbooks and are well reputed in their fields.

The academics at SBTS is second to none. The professors that teach write their own textbooks. They find ways to keep students honest and utilize techniques that require students to do the work they require. The workload is intense but when you leave this school, you are known to be some of the best of the best.

The sports are not very competitive in the leagues in which they compete.

tons of different places to eat, in every price range

Downtown Louisville is only a ten minute drive and there is lots to do in the surrounding areas.

Boyce College has a very reasonable curfew of 12 AM on school nights and 2 AM on non-school nights. There are many rules and such but all have good reason in accordance with safety and baptist beliefs

Sadly there are hardly any scholarships at our school. The biggest is half off tuition for being a member of a southern baptist church. There is a very small amount for financial aid- I receive $300 a semester. There is a new one for academics which is for one person and is $4000 for the entire year. Lastly they give free tuition to someone who's parents are IMB missionaries.

Health & Safety:
I never feel unsafe on campus. The girl's dorms have hand scans and 8 digit pin numbers required to enter the building and the guys on campus usually walk girls to their dorms. I always see campus police patrolling- all hours of the day. I haven't heard of any crime on campus and I never worry about students who drink and party because there are none.

Guys & Girls:
The men are very friendly, smart, and Godly. The reason why I would give an A- would only be because some are a little awkward around girls.

This school is top-notch in what they teach for several reasons. Primary among those reasons is that they have been doing this for over 100 years. Also, although they have a long history, they do not allow history to prevent them from developing curriculum based upon what is going on in real-life ministry. Their professors have both academic and experiential credentials and truly consider their work to be a spiritual endeavor, so they really care about you and what you're learning. Of course this school is a denominationally-based one, so it isn't for everyone, but you will recieve an excellent Christian education and training in the Baptist tradition if that is what you are pursuing.

Health & Safety:
Campus has a security guard team that is dedicated to keeping campus safe. They are always walking or driving around campus.

I have never had an issue with finding a parking spot within reasonable distance from my classes.

The main campus has a starbucks and a sandwich shop for between class snacks and the dining hall always has a pretty good selection of meals to choose from. During Holidays the school put together special meals for those students and their families that stay on campus.

Campus eating is simple but quality. Students will find the cafeteria atmosphere clean and friendly, if lacking a bit in variety. The campus cafe has a great atmosphere and the food is quite good.
College Junior 2013-01-22T18:23:49Z
The financial aid office is very helpful, however due to the nature of the school students are not FAFSA eligible, so be prepared to do some legwork to get scholarships.

Campus attitude is very positive. This student has seen no drug activity.

Variety is huge. The Louisville Highlands is a historic neighborhood with both high-rise apartment buildings with newer accommodation, to older vintage homes for rent with tons of character. Cost is surprisingly affordable. Don't expect much out of city transit however, so be prepared to walk.
College Sophomore 2013-01-21T06:00:19Z
To be honest, I'm not totally sure. By God's grace I have a car, so I haven't really had to use the public transportation. But I see buses all the time, and taxi's seem readily available.

Fantastic community. Very good teaching. Very Biblical. It has it's issues as all places do, because where people are there are issues. But, greatly encourage to check it out.

There are a few majors to choose from, but they are mostly theological

Founders cafe is great, but the cafeteria does not have the best food.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
