It's very rural not what I am used to being from Boston. It is different and I am there to do school so I stay motivated.

I wish I was eligible for my financial aid however I am battling to find scholarships to pay what I owe out of pocket. I'm also poor so it is definitely a hardship for me, but I'm pushing for it.

I met a serious boyfriend and it couldn't be better however school is expensive. I find myself struggling to stay in attendance due to college's cost. It scares me to be honest that I will not have enough money to finish, with that in the back of my head it keeps me wondering.

Its only okay because sometimes I feel like I am in a security prison rather than a institution to study at.

Nightlife is okay, usually you can find something that night if your really looking for it. Weekends can be fun.
College Sophomore 2013-11-30T22:51:56Z
The computers are very nice pc's. The newer ones have touch screens and are spread all over campus.
College Sophomore 2013-11-30T22:50:25Z
The diversity is good at my school judging it on the size and how many students we hold.
College Sophomore 2013-11-30T22:49:12Z
My college makes any type of smoking seem so illegal and frowned upon. More of a prison type feel then a homely type feel when it comes to smoking and drugs.
College Sophomore 2013-11-30T22:47:34Z
The facilities of my school are okay, the gym could use an upgrade in equipment. Also, the school could make it bigger and more accessible.
College Sophomore 2013-11-30T22:47:34Z
Campus is pretty, nice landscaping. The buildings are kind of retro style, the newer buildings have more glass windows and better designed.

Winter is the worst, the cold temperatures and the snow during the cold winter months really put a burden on going to college in Maine.

Guys & Girls:
There are a mix of people. You can find your crew, but it will be a small crew.
College Sophomore 2013-11-30T22:43:11Z
Parking is great. It is close by the buildings which is good because it gets cold.
College Sophomore 2013-11-30T22:41:59Z
There is no public transportation around my school. I do not have a car so I cannot get into town to work. It's awful.
College Sophomore 2013-11-30T22:40:46Z
The campus on housing is nice for upper class men however not for freshman.

Thomas College is pretty average when it comes to school. But one thing that sets it apart is the wide array of programs, clubs, and sport available. Students can join clubs related to there major like the Education Club and the Criminal Justice Club and explore other hobbies in the Gaming Club or Environmental Club.

Facilities at Thomas College are modern and classic wrapped into one. As the campus expands, new buildings are very contemporary. The athletic center, turf fields, and other athletic fields are very well kept and always open to students when there is no scheduled events. The library, computer laps, and 24/7 study rooms are great places to sit and study or get some tutoring for those tough classes. Some of the most popular student hang out areas include the student commons, the Barltlett lawn to play Frisbee or football on, and the hiking trails behind the school.

Guys & Girls:
The students at Thomas are mostly laid back but driven. There is very little to no "drama" ever. Thomas is really a great community where everyone is friendly to everyone else even strangers. There is a great mix of types of guys and girls: small town, big city, athletic, artistic, but all are friendly and polite!

There is a great variety of restaurants and quick stop places in the Waterville area. Whether you are looking for nice sit down meal with your family when they visit or just a quick snack after practice there is ALWAYS something available. Many places are open 24 hours for those late night cravings. Being a college town, price is usually very reasonable. One of my favorite places to sit down and eat or get take out is Ming Lee's Chinese Restaurant which is just 10 minutes from the campus. Price, atmosphere, food, and the service are all spectacular!
College Sophomore 2013-09-27T14:17:20Z
The food is good usually when there is something that I like to eat. They usually have a variety of 5 different things to eat per meal, mostly lunch and dinner. They could have more of a variety by switching up the food they serve more often.

I am very content with my degree program at Thomas. Forensic Psychology has been something I wanted to pursue for a long time now and it feels good to actually be taking the classes needed to reach my goals. After undergraduate school, I wanted to begin working in the field after some internships and work towards my PsyD or Masters. My ultimate goal is to be a correctional psychologist and eventually do expert testimony for the courtroom.

Thomas for the most part is a business and liberal arts college. They provide mostly degree plans for marketing, accounting, management etc. They also have computer sciences and IT management as well as social sciences and others. Thomas has branched out from just business - related degree programs now and also added concentrations of a study within a field. For example, I am majoring in psychology with a concentration of forensic psych.

I had no difficulties applying to Thomas College because their acceptance rate is high. I like that their acceptance rate is fair to mostly everyone. However, they could make more room on campus, or lower the acceptance rate due to overcrowding on campus. There are many triples meaning three people living in one room. Other than that, they are great a school and even offer a job placement guaranteed program. Lastly, the school is expensive ranging from 32,000 to 35,000 a year.

I'm a sophomore this year in Thomas College and now living in the upper classman dorm. This dorm is like luxury compared to the freshman dorm I experienced last year. Although, it was not as pretty, I definitely got my college dorm experience last year. My degree program at Thomas is awesome, I love it, It's flexible with a wide variety in class selection to choose from in the psychology and criminal justice fields. The classes are also small like a high school class ensuring that students can receive any helped needed by the professors.
