Good Things Come in Small Packages

It is a great college if one is looking for a small place. It definitely does not have that big campus feel as it is very small.

Excellent Variety

The places around the campus are excellent, there are a wide variety of restaurants and take-out places.

I Have Survived but There Is Much Need for Improvements.

Much of the disparities of how students are treated are based on who knows the professor, who has "important" parents/relatives, and grading is often skewed.

The location of the school does not lend itself to off-campus dining.

There Is Some Diversity

There is some diversity, but a heavy emphasis on Jewish students.

Not Much of a Nightlife

There are few parites or get-togethers. The few parties are only for selected students, so many are left with no outlet.

Much Need for Improvement

The campus is in need of much improvement. The library does not allow access to the Westlaw, lexisnexis computer and printers for much of the weekend. There is no real usable gym in the facility. Parking is sparse. The elevators are prehistoric.

The drug scene at Touro College is barely noticeable. There are so few students who participate in the drug/alcohol scene. Majority of the student are only there to learn.

Constantly Changing

The school policies are always changing. It depends on who you are talking to that day because everyone seems to be following a different handbook. The admissions requirements for the graduate programs is a joke. They like to scam you into taking more classes saying you will get "preferred admissions" but it's just to get your money. So when you apply for your program preferred admissions is a mystery to everyone else. The administrators need to get on the same page.

Very Diverse

Touro College has a very diverse population of students. Everyone meshes well because most of us have common goals of attending the graduate programs. Students do form groups and hang out when school is not in session but that is normal. Relationships are formed and seem to continue after school ends. Overall I would say the student population is very easy to fit into.

Touro College Facilities

Touro College has a campus in Bay Shore, NY that consists of one building. It contains a library, a high school cafeteria setting, no athletic center, and a ping pong table for fun. If you do not have class there is no reason to be at the school. We have a student government club that has 4 members and they do not hold activities or events on campus. Everyone goes about their day and goes home.

Dont Know Much to Do

In Bayshore not much is known to me. I do know that there are ships to fire Island very close and many places to chill in for happy hour.

Speech Language Pathology

It's a great program- one that's challenging yet managing. The teachers are dedicated and knowledgable, and I'm learning alot about my field.

Financial Aid Staff

The financial aid staff at Touro are wonderful. They are always available and make the process easier.

Drugs Non-Existent

It is law school - no one can afford to use or be on drugs and succeed.

Safety on Campus

There is always public safety on campus and available for anyone who wants to be walked to their cars.

Hardly Any

Don't do anything stupid and you won't be thrown out.

There are hardly any athletics in the school and no school teams.

Computers, Printers, Speed, Wireless Access

It has good speed, give information you need for the classes you take. The printer is great and the wireless access is good as well.

Warm and Helpful Atmosphere

Both the teachers/administration and the students themselves are very helpful and warm towards each other. Academic as well as personal growth are fostered.

Activites on Campus

There are a few clubs on campus including the health science club, communications, club, and debate club. There are also so CPR classes that students can take and there is a tutoring center for the students.

Moscow University Touro

I’ve been studying in Moscow University Touro for four years and I’m surprised that there are a lot of bad reviews. I’ll finish Touro this summer, 2011. As a graduate I want to thank Touro because it gave me great experience in business, good management and special English skills.

I don’t see any preferences for individuals - everybody is equaled. Professors don’t give good grades for nothing. Grade system is pretty fair. Comparing to another Russian universities, Touro doesn’t have a bribery practice at all.

Administration is pretty supportive for students. Touro has a unique educational system which is not typical for Russian universities. Because of that Touro is interesting place for worldwide foreign companies (Nestle, Kelly Servises, KPMG, PriceWaterHouseCoopers) which very often held Career days, offering huge opportunities to graduates and students.

Professors are really qualified people. Everybody knows well their own subject and I can say that I’m finishing this university with clear knowledge. Thanks to teachers attitude towards students, the atmosphere is friendly and without pressure. Because Touro is small University, everybody knows each other.

Also Moscow University Touro offers MBA program. It continues for 1-1.5 years

I have only positive emotions about Moscow Touro University and I wish to everyone to study in such great university like Touro. =)

Weather

a bit foggy a lot of the time because it's near an old shipyard. Not too bad since we're inside most of the time.
