University of South Florida is a great place to get your education. Its also a very large school which means there are plenty of clubs\organizations\ and activities to participate in. The one gripe I have with the school is the administration and the advisers, specifically for the biomedical science majors. They are not very helpful and make every request you make of them difficult.

Being accepted into the Physician Assistant/MPH program is a rigorous and highly competitive process. I expected the difficulty, and appreciate it to ensure the profession has the best people to keep it highly respected and move it forward. The only tips for admission is to be yourself and put your all into the interview.

Restaurants in Vallejo are sketchy. Try not to eat anywhere near Tennessee street. Food in Benicia, the town next door, is phenomenal! Great small town atmosphere with delicious food. All the food places on 1st street are great!

Usually it is sunny and because you are near the bay the temperature stays pretty consistent but it is pretty cold. Even though it is located in the bay area it is not very cloudy. Most days you have to bring a jacket to school. Very few days will you be able to wear shorts and sandals. Wear layers.

Guys & Girls:
Touro has a very diverse student population. A lot of my class mates are from all over the United States and all bring something different to the school and program.

There are multiple options at Touro: DO, PharmD, PA/MPH, MPH, and Masters in Ed. Since it is all graduate work, there is less distractions and people are more focused.

The school is small and there are no clubs nearby. However, every now and then the students will throw some decent parties to help us de-stress.

The food is too salty at times, but then again I don't really like salt. Everything is kosher. The food is only available during the day.

Working hard and studying diligently will help your medical career goals to come true. The tuition is expensive but good education. Faculty and student body are friendly and supportive. There is no such thing called perfect institution, you would need to come and see what are pros and cons for you. You got all you need to become a physician at Touro!

Achieving Your Goal – There are many reasons to come to this school. Among them is that is in California. There is helpful faculty. Tuition is high, but you expect that from a medical school. Overall, its a great place to fulfill one's goal to be in the medical profession.

Sports Are for Fun – This is a medical school so many extracurriculars are spent trying to help the community. However, there are many possiblities for exercise when there is downtime such as Dance, Karate, Softball, Soccer, Volleyball, etc.
