Things I Wish I Knew Before Coming To School
  • Before a cab takes you where you do not want to go, know that there is a difference between Power Plant and Power Plant Live!. Power Plant Live! is where the popular bars are.
  • If you hear the word VIP’s, it refers to the same place as Paws.
  • The Patuxent is the greatest place to eat on campus. For those who did not get this book, they probably will not know about it ‘til a month into school and will be eating bad Towson food.
  • The ratio of guys to girls.
  • The University Union is the main student center on campus.
  • Towson is one of the only schools where you can get beer delivered to your door at 3 a.m. if you are 21 or older.
  • Try to call Jimmy’s a half hour in advance on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
  • What is known as “the beach” is actually just a patch of grass where a lot of students hang out in between classes. It is located by Stephens Hall.

Corporate Video Class for Film Majors

The Corporate Video class in the Electronic Media and Film Department of Towson is a great class because it allows you to produce a video for an actual company in the Baltimore area. This is great because it allows you to add something substantial to your demo reel as a filmmaker.
