College Prowler Take

Since it's located right outside of downtown Baltimore, a city known for great dining, it should be no surprise that Towson lives up to this same reputation. Students love that they have such a large selection of dining options to choose from. As a result, it seems that most of the students at Towson have more than one favorite place to dine. Students love the many options of Italian, Japanese, Mexican, and American dining that they are able to choose from.

Towson offers so many places to eat off campus that students are almost guaranteed to find something to please their taste buds. They are bound to fall in love with some place—possibly even get sick of it after a while—but because there are so many options, they will soon find a new favorite. There are the big franchise favorites and the small unique establishments with the tastiest dining options.

There is a large selection of off-campus places to eat, anywhere from Friday’s to Panera Bread. Good places for fine dining are Paolo’s and Macaroni Grill, which is not so close. If you are bold when it comes to your food, Chipotle is right for you. It is pretty much a fast food Mexican place that has become a great hit around campus.

I know that Bill Bateman’s is known for its wings, and I know that everyone goes there at least once during their college time because it is practically on campus. It is reputable. Lots of people from out of town come all the way to Towson just to eat at Bateman’s, but I do not think Towson students go there that often, in general. I think many people just agree that there are better choices around town to eat.

People generally agree that the town of Towson has some great food. Towson is the only town outside of New York that I have had pizza and bagels that compare to New York’s! The best Italian restaurant is Paolo’s, which has the best entrées and pastas! Olive and Sesame is the greatest place for Chinese food and—just a warning—the entrees are huge. Bill Bateman’s is practically on campus, right across the street from the Admissions building, and is known for its delicious wings. Lastly, the priciest restaurant is the best. It is called the Melting Pot, which provides amazing, four-course fondue dinners.

Paolo’s is my favorite. They have every kind of Italian dish you could possibly crave, and all of their food is delicious. When it is warm out, they have nice outside tables to eat at, as well.
