College Prowler Take
Towson is the type of school that, if you find the right people, you will have a wonderful experience. For those who have trouble making friends, it is highly recommended to get involved on campus. There are many organizations and sports teams that thrive in Towson and are strongly recommended in order to assist students in finding a solid group of friends. Some students love Towson so much that they just cannot pinpoint exactly what it is that they love so much. Perhaps it is the attentive faculty at Towson or the nightlife that has so much to offer. Maybe they just enjoy the small, comfortable campus setting that allows them to pass by familiar faces every day. Towson is a school that becomes what you make of it. It is clear that the students who are engaged in their work or are interested in an organization gain a greater sense of appreciation for Towson. Some students express how rewarding their experiences at Towson have been while acknowledging the fact that the University is not for everyone.

Towson was a safety school for me when applying to colleges. I never thought that this would be my last option, and it was. I was not thrilled about coming and did not have any great expectations, but it turned out to be more than I could have imagined. I have encountered some of the nicest people, the most caring professors, and in a great working atmosphere. I would never, ever, want to go anywhere else. |

Overall, Towson depends on what you make of it, the niche you find for yourself, and what you choose to put into it. I absolutely loved Towson because of the people and organizations that I encountered. This is a school that I feel takes getting involved in to enjoy. The more you put into it, the more you will come out with. Towson has great class sizes, and you will never just feel like a number in this school. If you love going to bars, meeting people, the Baltimore area, the Ravens, and the Orioles, you will love Towson. If you do not enjoy the bar scene and want a school with a lot of school spirit, I would avoid Towson, by all means. |

I went to Towson for my undergraduate education and am continuing my graduate education at Towson, as well. I stayed here for many reasons. The class sizes are all very small, and I feel like every teacher feels invested in my education. I always feel at home on the campus. I moved from out-of-state and really just fell in love with the area. I live in Baltimore city, but Towson is such a charming town and has everything a student would need. I agree with many of the other comments—if you don't fit into a social group easily, Towson can by cliquey, but there are an infinite amount of campus groups to get involved with, so there's really something for everyone! It truly is a liberal arts university.

I really love Towson. It definitely wasn’t my first choice, and I’m an out-of-state student. It isn’t too big or too small. |

Towson is weird, and I really can’t describe why I love it so much, but I do. |
