Trinity students are a pretty attractive group, yet, aside from random hookups, there is an overwhelmingly prevalent feeling on campus that nobody at Trinity dates. It is as though by going on one date, a girl and guy have committed themselves to a lifelong relationship! Certain cliques tend to date each other; sororities and their brother fraternities are the most obvious example, but this phenomenon is not limited to the Greek scene. People seem very hesitant to date outside of their own social circle, and so they wind up staying in long relationships with one or two people througout their college career.
Because San Antonio is hot and muggy most of the year, students almost become desensitized to seeing members of the opposite sex running around wearing short shorts and small shirts until the real summer hits, and girls start sunbathing on the open grass and the dorm roofs. A lot of random hooking up goes on all the time, but for the most part, it is just part of the fun at a party and nothing serious. It is possible to date at Trinity, but you have better chances of finding a future spouse than you do finding a date for just one freakin’ evening!
