Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Most students who make the decision to attend Tufts are happy with their experience. Overall, Tufts has so many programs and activities, it’s impossible for one student to take advantage of everything the school has to offer in four short years, but since there are so many different types of students at Tufts all with different interests, there is definitely something for everyone. The biggest complaint coming from the students seems to be adjusting to the new lifestyle and environment, whether at the school itself or the Boston area in general.

The Tufts experience goes far beyond the classroom, and provides students easy access to the ideal academic and social surroundings. The combination of school opportunities and local culture give Tufts its own distinctive flavor that allows students to grow in ways they never could have imagined. Most of the negative experiences that Tufts students gripe about are also good growth experiences, such as dealing with the weather or actually having to get around without a car. Ultimately, graduates are proud of their education and their school. Students who graduate from Tufts enter the real world focused, confident, and prepared to face even the toughest challenges that the workplace can throw at them. The many successful Tufts alumni can attest to this.

Tufts Is "Homey"

Although Tufts is an academically vigorous school, the atmosphere is quite comfortable, friendly, and open. The campus is so "homey" and offers beautiful scenery. In short, Tufts is a wonderful place.

People are always impressed when I...

People are always impressed when I tell them I went to Tufts. It’s got a great reputation, and our new president is awesome. I will miss my years at Tufts. You go to college to find out what kind of person you are, and in my opinion, Tufts allowed me to do that.
