The office is very eager to please, although making appointments can be difficult.

I got a good amount of financial aid - not outstanding but certainly doable for my family.

I was only offered a relatively small loan and work study. Tufts is known to be expensive and give out little financial aid. A friend of mine was given a huge package his first year which then significantly decreased the following year, leaving him with the option of transferring or taking private loans.

Fairness in Question – My freshman year went smoothly enough. I received a considerable amount of aid that made sense for my circumstances. Sophmore year is proving more of a problem. Though I've had a significant change, the expectations rose to something incredibly unrealsitic. Needless to say, I'm still dealing with the issue and hope and appeal will bring the expected cost to reasonable levels. My father just got a job, but he's been out fo work for three and a half years, and with another kid in college, he the only one working, and five people depending on his income, $17,000 is just ridiculous.

Smooth Process, Great Results – The process is the same as other schools and administrators are very helpful. If you do it right, you end up with a great package with no loans!
