Tulane is known to be pretty generous with giving out scholarship money for merit and need based, however I have met some people (who seem extremely deserving) who mentioned that they received very little money. However, most people say they chose to attend Tulane because of the large amount of scholarship money they were awarded.

Could Have Been Worse

Tulane gives a lot of financial aid to its students. In fact, most students who attend have a Tulane scholarship. The workers at the Financial Aid Office are very friendly and helpful. When I had questions or problems, I just walked into the office and was helped right away. There are, of course, tons of forms you have to fill out (FAFSA, CSS, copies of W2s, non-filer forms, etc), but that would be the same at any school. I suggest that you befriend your financial aid adviser and stay on top of deadlines.

Lots of Financial Aid

Tulane University is known for handing out large amounts of financial aid, both need-based and merit-based. Almost all of my friends have some sort of scholarship.
