Tusculum College is in a small town called Greeneville, TN. There isn't much to do in Greeneville for entertainment, but Tusculum tries to put different organized activities for the students to get involved in. There is the neighboring town of Johnson City, TN, and they are a bigger city than Greeneville. Tusculum also throws an Old Oaks Festival every year to support the arts. I had the opportunity to read to children at the festival, and it was a positive, learning experience.

Greeneville is a very small town! There isn't much to do here except things like hiking and camping but it's a really beautiful town and it's very peaceful!

Small but Fun – The town surrounding Tusculum is small, so it is definitely not a college for city-lovers. The town Greeneville is a historic place - the birthplace of Davy Crockett, as well as the home of president Andrew Johnson - two of the big-names most everyone will recognize. Tusculum College itself is also the oldest college in Tennessee, founded in 1794. There are many old buildings located in town that are very neat to see. On top of the historical aspect, the location is a lot of fun recreation-wise. The Smoky Mountains are right next door, so there are plenty of opportunities to go hiking and camping, and the Nolichucky River is also close, giving even more options to outdoors-lovers: white water rafting, inner-tubing, fishing, swimming, and other fun activities. During the winter, there are several Ski slopes within a 1-2 hour drive.
