I'm not part of Greek life, but they try to do good around the school and they don't seem as snobby as other Greek life at other schools.

Since we are at a private university, the options for Greek life aren't as broad as they are at a state school. Greeks here are not defined by their house and tend to blend in with everyone else.

Greek life does not dominate at Union, but is beneficial to meet friends.

There are some times that the fraternities and sororities get a little loud at their parties, but over all, they do not disturb the rest of campus. I have not encountered many snobs from fraternities or sororities, but I am sure a few exist. Even though the greek people sit at their own tables for lunch, they are all extremely nice people and will willingly be your friend.

Greek life at UU is average. Either its for you or its not. If you don't join that doesn't mean you can't hang out with the greeks. Many of the parties are open parties, meaning anyone can attend. They are very philanthropy based. Which in my opinion is great! Though I am not a part of greek life, I do like how they do a lot for the campus. The greeks don't have housing for students, but each sorority or fraternity have a greek house where meetings are held and open parties are held. Greek life at Union is all about brother/sisterhood. So if you want a strong knit group of friends/family, Greek life is for you.
