For a military school, USAFA has a very large diverse community. From different racial and ethnic backgrounds to the exchange cadets.

Greek life does not exist at the Academy. We are a fraternity/sorority of our own.

The dorms are small and cramped. Sometimes you can't even pick your roommate. They keep everything very clean, but since all grades are required to live on campus, it's a little difficult sometimes to be pleased with what you have.

Drugs are non-existent at USAFA. If they are found, the perpetrator is dealt with swiftly and harshly.

They issue us computers which crash all the time. The computers in the lab are very very slow.

Some people have a negative view of cadets. Beyond that, Colorado Springs is a lovely place.
College Sophomore 2013-10-29T05:45:17Z
Parking is a little far and they are a little strict sometimes. Beyond that, managed well.

Colorado weather is so bipolar. Especially for a southern girl. It makes being outdoors quite miserable. Classes are never ever canceled.
College Sophomore 2013-10-29T05:43:40Z
Everything is state of the art and fantastic. The dorms are a bit cramped though and I wish we were allowed more freedom.
College Sophomore 2013-05-17T20:36:56Z
There is no greek life here. We are AMERICANS and that is all

Guys & Girls:
The girls are very athletic however this does not make up for the constant problems with sexual assault which maybe a bit of an exaggeration

There is not a very large intuitive action for the fun and positive morale of the students. Its mostly work and more work

This school has great quads for playing football or for cooking out with the squad

The only issue is that the network will crash everyonce and a while. But there's everything you want. Oh the fact that there's no porn, also blows a little

State of the art gym and athletic facilities. Dorms being renovated.

Kids in Colorado Springs look up to cadets and we have the opportunity to positively influence the community.

The school is free so you do not need financial aid. You do get paid though.

No green spaces where you can really hang out. Arnold Hall has Godfather's pizza, and Subway and the Arnold Hall theater where there are live performances some times.

Colorado Springs is a pretty large city with 400,000 people. However, unless you're 21 the town kind of shuts down early in the evening. Most people drive to Denver, Boulder, or up into the mountains for the weekends.

Health & Safety:
It's really safe here. The Air Force also takes care of all of your medical and dental for you. I had surgery out here last year, and everything went great.
College Junior 2013-02-27T22:05:51Z
It's sunny the majority of the days. The snow goes away pretty quickly here, but it sticks around up in the mountains. If you can brave some really cold mornings, you'll enjoy it.
College Sophomore 2013-02-26T00:04:17Z
Freshman year is terrible. Budget cuts caused them to cut back so much which involved disenrolled more than 150 students. It's not worth it right now

It's a military school, what else would you expect?
Recent Alumnus 2013-01-27T01:20:36Z
It's free, but only juniors and seniors can have cars and the parking lots (for the most part) are a 15 minute walk from the dorms. Hope you don't have to get anywhere in a hurry.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
