Most of the cadets are satisfied with the shuttle system that exists on post. While some cadets believe that it is confusing and argue that the buses are not always on time, most of them seem to think that it is just like any other shuttle system. Only upperclassmen can have cars on campus, so expecting to find rides readily available would be a bad idea. Getting outside of the Academy's reach is relatively easy. Trains, buses, and cabs all serve the campus and can take cadets to any city they're willing to pay to get to. Highland Falls isn't so far from airports that it becomes an inconvenience when students need to get home either.
Overall, cadets seem content with the transportation on post. The root cause of the majority of their issues is with the taxis that take them on and off post. Because of the all of the different possible threat levels, the random inspections, and hazardous road conditions, cadets sometimes have problems making definite plans. Also, taxis sometimes have trouble getting on to post. All in all, it's not that hard to get where you need to go.
