Diversity at Unity College

Unity College's Diversity

Our student numbers are low as a whole, and the number or ethnic students, are even lower. I'm an American born Colombian student at a predominantly Caucasian school. I will say Unity may not be widely diverse in numbers, but it is when it comes to diverse views. When it comes to economic background, political beliefs, religion and sexual orientation Unity has an extremely diverse outlook on each and every single one of those categories. What I admire about the college, is although numbers of ethnic students run low, Unity does what it can to represent and in a way, pride the cultural ethnicity that is found at this small college.

Overall Experience at Unity College

My Unity Experience

I will be honest, Unity College isn't a school for everyone. Things are done differently and in many ways, strangely. We are a school of a very small size. I went to a high school with a larger population that what you could probably find in the entire town of Unity, but there is something about this small remote school that has me in awe. I grew up in the suburbs of Georgia, never in my life imagining myself studying so far from home; much less in a state as densely populated as Maine. Being at Unity, has helped me grow and adapt to different hobbies. For example: Hunting and Fishing, two activities I could have never understand. Now all of my friends are hunters and angers and it's all been a learning process for me. Unity is the perfect school for me, and I'm more than happy to be a student at Unity College in Maine.

The Unity Hose Of Pizza offers order out options to the campus, and dine in options as well. The food is great, and it lets you get off campus for some food and gun, which is wonderful.
