The cafeteria always has the same food every week, all mondays is the same, all tuesdays. So basically they have a menu for the weekdays and each week it repeats itself. Sometimes they might change something do to not having the product, but next week goes back. Although they repeat the menu, they food is always fresh and very delicious. I love it! And its not expensive most you could spend for a plate is $5.65

The parking is nice, because once you find a spot is not that far. But the spots fill up quickly.

The off-campus housing is any apt that you may find. The University does not provide On or Off-campus housing. You have to find yourself one. Usual cost for an apt near the university goes from $300 to $1,300.

In culinary management you get the best of both worlds. You get your culinary arts studies, plus you get the education to start your own business. The curriculum is not that hard, it had exactly what is necessary to be the best you can be. The work is not easy, but that helps a lot. Interships and job offers are always there.

I came to the Universidad del Este because is the only university with the program I wanted. I like the school, is somewhat hard to connect with the teachers outside the class, but everything other than that is good. I really enjoy my time at the university.

Its near the airport, commercial stores, turist areas and best of all the beach!! So if you feel you need to relax after a hectic day in school the beach is just minutes away from it!

Health & Safety:
The university is pretty safe when you are around campus but the location of the university is around a certain area where things unexpectecly can happen. Overall is ok!

I came to Universidad del Este because they are one of the two only organizations that offer a biotechnology program. I couldn't have made a better choice, the classes are good and the proffesors are available to answer and clear any doubt and even offer tutoring. Picking classes is allways hard but they have at leat 5 people for 35 students you can ask for ther'e help when needed. They also make fairs at least 1 a week for us to scout possible jobs, grad schools and even pair us with internships. It keeps reminding you of your goals.

I'm majoring in Biotechnology, it's been a satisfiying experience so far. All of my professors know there way into the industry and have exeptional jobs, also participate as respectable members of they're respective organizations. They all know very important people and are very knowledgable in the field.

There are various computer labs around all campus two of these are mostly crowded around mid-term and finals but other than that you can manage to find a computer. If you are a memeber of any group say Rise or the Honors program or any other they have computers for their students to avoid the crowd on those seasons. Every computer lab has printers and fotocopy machines that work pretty well up untill mid terms. In our library they also made a mini louge like space where you have plugs everywhere and the ocasional monitor for presentations and study groups. The university overall has very good wifi and nice spots you can just sit with ur laptop and manage to get good signal. if you lack a computarized device you can allways go to the labs or ask in any office where they have an occupied mini lab and theyll let you use it.

Close to home but I think they could hire a bit more employees

There is no diversity whatsoever. Almost everyone is a copy/paste.

You HAVE to arrive early if you want a great parking spot, but overall the parking is good because there is almost always a good parking spot close to the university.

Very Calm – It's a very quiet uiversity , but still you meet new people all the time that are on your same goal-achieving mind.

It doesn't have off-campus housing since everyone that study here lives close

REALLY HOT! Puerto Rico's weather is usually very tropical and humid, the campus is placed in a well placed part off the highway. Usually when it rains the classes wont get cancelled since it stays off the rains path and doesn't block the exits.
College Senior 2012-08-16T04:48:07Z
Very Diverse – The school is very involved with exchange programs so there are many international students on campus. There is also a lot of diversity in regards to religion and race. There's a very open minded and accepting mindset among the students.

Very Few Options. There are several apartments available in the area but most of them are very expensive. On a student's budget is almost impossible to rent one and extremely difficult to find one at an affordable price. Most students prefer to drive to campus no matter the distance. Many students travel more than an hour to get to campus everyday.

parking is always a nightmare because its shared with other places so everyone parks anywhere.

Teachers Were Great but Administration Sucks – the teachers made life bearable at the campus...but administration lacks respect and consideration. Once i was out and looking for a job couldn't find one...the university has not made an effort to become florida state certified for teachers, they change policies all the time without letting students know. Its supposedly a bilingual school..but you dont even come out ESOL certified if you're studying education..Overall its expensive without any services

Near the School Not Much Goes on – The island of Puerto Rico is small. The party scene is about 15-20 minute drive from the university. But if you stay on campus after 10:00 pm its a ghost town. But nightlife for students on Thursdays at Rio Piedras gets an A +

Guys & Girls:
Alot of Variety – Fun, Outgoing, Smart, yet Funny. Very driven. Most of the student body is focused in their goals yet knows how to let loose.
