It is very lenient in some cases but very strict regarding alcohol and drug abuse, parking, etc.

The university organizes parties and events with sponsor companies.

Tropical weather (Caracas, Venezuela) is hot, humid and rainy but do not interfere with campus experience. There are a lot of classrooms with air conditioning.

Professors are very good and very professional. All programs and curriculums are business oriented so there is a lot of business management in general university workload.
College Sophomore 2013-11-04T18:18:06Z
Very strict program that demands a huge workload from students. The curriculum is very complete and accounts for courses that will make a Business student with social concerns and entrepreneurial skills.

Very good dining options. Low cost, and healthy variety.

Athletics are an important part of the university but student involvement is very low. Although the university funds athletics, student involvement, fan support and school spirit aren't things the university can characterize itself for, though we have great athletic facilities.

The university hired a parking company that sets parking costs and safety guidelines. The university provides security and parking expansions. There is a very good parking situation.

A typical internship is one where I can learn what strategies the company uses to maintain productivity and achieve their goals. I have had an internship before where time and responsibilities are established by the superiors. Helping in the company's dealings would be my first priority. I was an intern in Telefonica Movistar (VE) and have had many student teaching jobs.

I have learned a lot from the program I chose (Business Management) and would not do it all over again. I feel what I have learned will help me achieve my life goals, which is to own a successful company.

Health & Safety:
Very good since the University is located in a very precarious zone of Caracas, therefore, security is very tight. Health services are very good too.

There is no greek life.

Diversity is not something that can be described as the Unviersity's strong point. There is a homogenous student scene that come from more or less the same economic status, ethnic heritage and the same national origin (all venezuelan, very few international)

Computers are old but up-to-date with software and other tech requirements. There are many computer labs and there is a great network availability with good internet speed.

The current political, economic and social circumstances that Venezuela is going through make the University scene a very controversial one. Nevertheless, the Universidad Metropolitana provides the tools for problem-solving in the business world, as well as transforming students into entrepreneurial prospects that will help make Venezuelan society more prosperous.
College Sophomore 2013-11-04T17:43:59Z
Drug use is prohibited and frowned-upon but there are many students that consume drugs and alcohol in a very casual way.
College Sophomore 2013-07-01T18:37:07Z
Universidad Metropolitana is pretty strict. There is surveillance everywhere (except bathrooms, of course). You still enjoy cultural activities and general student life in campus, good thing is that tend to be very organized and there hardly ever happens anything life threatening and such.
College Sophomore 2013-07-01T18:29:47Z
We dont have a Greek life at Universidad Metropolitana. We do have clubs and student associations.

Puerto Rico is small, but beautiful. Universidad Metropolitana has a small campus but various extracurricular student activities are always carried on, allowing the student to meet other students from diverse majors. It's a very active campus. It takes about ten minutes in car to reach the largest mall in the Caribbean. Public transportation is available to reach the campus directly, such as the train and bus. The campus is in between other universities, such as the Universidad Interamericana and the University of Puerto Rico, which can be also reached by public transportion quickly. The university has a gym and a sports complex, where diverse sport disciplines are practiced. Excellent sholarships are available for each program. Research labs are available for science students.

In my case I have not had that experiance. Because I live with my parents.

I have not had the opportunities to be in a boarding school but I would like to have it as it would help me to have work experience before graduation and academically decide to continue my graduate studies. You've had the experience of taking continuing education courses in Social Events Coordinator and that help develop a small business.

Public transportation is regular, because it focuses on a single area. I live in the rural area. And my transportation is verry difficult.

Caracas's weather is great. Its never too hot nor too cold.
College Sophomore 2013-01-14T01:16:45Z
I have lived in Caracas my whole life, most UNIMET students live with their parents.

Nightlife in Caracas is awesome there are always diverse activities to go to. Nevertheless, the insecurity has limited everyone's nightlife, the fear of been kidnapped or robbed is, unfortunately, in everyone's mind.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
