Night Life – The night life is great at Bama. From the bars to frat parties, there is always something to do.

There are some great off campus communities. They also have a shuttle that runs from the university back to the apartment complexes.

Southern Charm – Tuscaloosa is a small town, but with so much charm. The people in the South are so nice. The town offers many local restaurants and some great small shops to browse in. The horrendous tornado that hit our university has wiped out many local restaurants and shops. The whole town has come together and has helped each other try rebuild. It is going to take a while, but the town of Tuscaloosa is strong and we will all get through this, but we will never forget.

There Is Nothing Good Unique Here. The only thing that stands out here is Greek life. If you aren't Greek, you're a nobody.

Buses Are the Easiest Way – The buses run most of the day during classes and it is easy to get from class to class using the buses, but you have to leave early.

Guys & Girls:
The Girls Are Okay – The girls are not as hot as most people say and it is painfully obvious if they are Greek. Most are wanna be Southern belles that don't have the looks, but have the accent of a redneck.

Strictness at The University of Alabama is an efficient amount and keeps academic and social policy clear to its students and faculty members.

The University of Alabama has many wonderful locations to access its computers on campus. There are always multiple locations any student can go to in order to get onto the internet. The speed and reliability are both excellent and have the occasional hiccup, but never anything that would make studying and working conditions strenuous. I think printing is the only dislike I have because the cost is five cents per page, and there are always plenty of items a student needs printing. So like I said, not a aspect but is not detrimental to the efficientcy of the computers at The University of Alabama.

Parking depends on whether you live on campus or not. Commuter parking is on the edge of campus & depending on what section you get its difficult finding a spot. Yes there are buses that take you further into to campus but they can sometimes be unreliable. Students living on campus park pretty close to the dorms however their parking lots always seem to be cut down due to some type of construction.

Come Prepared to Learn – The registration was a pain but the professors are excellent! They are willing, ready, and available to answer any questions you have. Also there are students who excel in English to help you edit your papers before you hand them in or even help you get an idea of what to write.

Roll Tide Roll – The greatest feeling you will ever have is attending a college football game. I've been an enormous Crimson Tide fan my entire life and I will never forget the first college game I attended. The atmosphere is out of this world incredible.

U of a – I don't really partake in the party nightlife, however every once in awhile I do. Their are a lot of bars right off campus in the downtown area and along the strip. 2a.m. is pretty rowdy. Their are a few places you can enter at the age of 19. Thursday nights are party nights. Usually a frat house is throwing one and their are tons of apartment complexes where you are bound to find a party. Which is where as an underage student, you are more likely to obtain alcohol. Some however venture out to the clubs with a fake id. Their are several different ways to obtain a ride if unable to drive yourself home. Taxi's, crimson ride, and several shuttles.

U of a – I think the University of Alabama, has a lovely campus and they continue to grow more and more. They are always doing surveys to see what they can be doing to better the campus and its facilities. There is always something going on campus whether its a play, speech, athletics, politics, etc. I feel pretty safe on campus, they have their little blue boxes and campus police. I've only notice issues regarding theft and public intoxication. Athletic atmosphere is great, they just added seats to our stadium however parking on game days is ridiculous and as a student finding parking, we shouldn't have to pay since we pay enough to go to school their Tuscaloosa is known as a college town, I think we've recently came together with all the events from the Tornado of April 27, 2011. AS far as Tuscaloosa itself, the shopping really isn't that great and there really aren't that many activities for college students, much less high schoolers to get involved with. I thought being the home of the University, Tuscaloosa would be much nicer than it is. Overall it is a very nice campus and the professors and staff are very nice and helpful..

PRETTY Easy – The great thing about the financial aid at Alabama is that all the scholarships the school offers are on one application. They are very good about sending you emails and reminders about Federal Aid deadlines. However, when you get into payment plans and buying books and things like that, make sure you ask questions and make sure you understand how things work, because you can end up costing yourself some serious money from not knowing what you are signing up for.

I feel like, especially for a southern school, Alabam provides excellent opportunites. One very unique one is the New College program. If the thing you decide you want to do with your life is not offered as a major at the school, you can join the New College program, and pretty much create your own major. You answer to a professor, and the professor helps you construct a schedule and activities that will lead to a degree in whatever you want to major in.

I feel like, for a southern college town school, this school is diverse. There are people from all different countries and backgrounds that go to school here. Even though the s chool is located in Alabama, there are many students there from every state.

Good luck on getting a parking permit here. It's a first come first serve basis. Not to mention if you park in a wrong parking spot the fines are HORRIBLE. Parking is probably the worst thing about Alabama. Luckily though if you're in a dorm you'll have better parking than students commuting.

Guys & Girls:
Southern Charm – The best thing about the guys and girls at Alabama is that they are genuinely southern. Everyone here from the south is the epitome of "southern hospitality". For the most party the guys are good looking- generally dress well. Typically in vinyard vines, brooks brothers, fraternity shirts, etc. Girls dress just as well.

Football Games – Football season is the best part of Alabama. The energy in the stadium is like none other!
