Yes - 127 Gordon Palmer Hall
College Prowler Take
With all the different computer labs on campus, UA students have access to tons of hardware and software that they may not have on their own computer. Each department has a computer lab and the software needed for those majors. It’s said that the business and computer science departments have the best computers, but some of these labs are only offered to students in that particular school. Students can always use the computer labs in the libraries, and Gordon Palmer Hall is open 24 hours.
Almost all UA students agree that, while it’s not necessary to bring your own computer, it is convenient. With the many computer labs offered on campus, most students feel they can find a lab somewhere with an open computer. Some students enjoy the social scene while in the labs, but if you need more privacy, owning a computer might be a better idea. Some of the labs on campus are said to be a real social gathering, while others are as quiet as the libraries. If you choose not to bring your own computer, don’t depend on the labs during exam time. Watch out for Gordon Palmer. This 24-hour lab is usually crowded due to its extended lab hours. To guarantee a spot in a lab, try going in the morning or afternoon. The labs become more hectic at night.
