The University of Alabama is a typical Southern college town with a lot of attention devoted to football. To live in this town, you must be able to accept that Bama football takes over in the fall. The whole town celebrates game days and school spirit is everywhere, but don’t think the excitement stops there. When football season is over, there are still tons of things to do in this town. On the Strip, you can always find good food, your favorite bands, and unique shopping.
With all that’s offered in Tuscaloosa, many students say that there’s never a dull moment. It’s always easy to run into someone you know on the Strip to hang out with. The general consensus is that this is the town that never sleeps because the parties never end. If you’re not really into the party scene, you can take advantage of Tuscaloosa’s museums and outdoor activities. To enjoy the atmosphere to the fullest, explore the unique places Tuscaloosa has to offer. Four major rivers wind through Alabama, creating a lush outdoor of accessible creeks, lakes, and trails. Those who love hiking, camping, and water sports will find a veritable heaven on earth in Tuscaloosa.

The atmosphere in Tuscaloosa is a perfect example of the common college town stereotype. There’s all-night partying, long nights at the bars on the Strip, and of course, Alabama football games in the fall. Although partying and having fun with your friends is part of Tuscaloosa’s nightlife for students, so is spending long hours in the University’s libraries. |

The atmosphere in Tuscaloosa is full of all different kinds of people, which makes it unique. The atmosphere during the fall is full of school spirit, tradition, and memories that will last a lifetime. The spring is laid-back, relaxed, and beautiful in nature. A college nearby is Shelton, a community college. However, UA is in its own world, which is nice. You feel like you’re in a crimson bubble. |
