As an employee for Nana Management Services, I have found that the food we prepare for students is average. There is a variety for them to choose from and we are required to maintain food quality and safety.

I have never eaten at the dining facilities of UAF. I've always lived off campus. I've not heard good things, however. Also, the Wood Center has a number of fast food options, which are mediocre, at best.

I know a lot of people talk bad about the Tilly, saying the "food" is unbearable or disgusting. It was even list on a college page as having some of the worst food. It was 0-1,000, 0 being the best food and 1,000 being worst, and UAF came in 947. We should be grateful we have food to complain about. Many people don't. Coming from the Mexican border, you see many people who just eat what they manage to get their hands on. Sometimes the water you drink will be brown or taste like the insides of pipes. Now I understand some people are used to eating rich. But I am so grateful that I can come to the Tilly and get a good meal.

Campus Dining is decent. The Cafeteria serves decent to slightly above average food, but the on campus convenience store is a godsend at times.

The Lola Tilly Commons dining hall is honestly not the best place to dine at. I have heard of many reports of unhealthy, disgusting findings in people's food which has now become rare due to stronger management. Many people try to avoid having to pay for a meal plan. Unfortunately, everyone has to buy a meal plan unless they are a junior/senior/graduate student. This dining hall has its good days, but also its days of nightmare and disappointment.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
